Thank you! Jalapeno is still a work in progress. I forked out a bit of cash for those Proline Hyrax and dual stage foams from hearing all the raves on YT. I'm not convinced if they're actually worth all that extra money. I'll keep on testing.
One of the very reasons I love my crawlers. So many different ways to experiment.

Another thing I really love about crawlers is that, the breakage factor is very low, when compared to bashing and racing.

Now all I need is for someone to send me a Limo so I can visit your crawling spots! 🤣
Ok

Peabody Town Forest 6/27/21

First trail run with brass portal covers. Success with lines and over structures I couldn't before. I'm also really impressed with how good these stock Traxxas tires are. So much so, that I order a set of 4 for the Axial Jeep. I spent well over $100 for the, much hyped, Proline Hyrax Predator and dual stage foams, and I found them too be just ok.......and this doesn't even include the wheels. The stock defender tires and wheels cost less than $40 shipped!
I pushed a bit further into the very overgrown open areas under the power lines, where there are an abundance of huge boulders and rock structures. I'm looking forward to the winter time when the foliage should die back significantly, to expose more rock structures.

What, you don't have a flame thrower? 😈

Glad Habenero's performance is improving with every upgrade. I know what you mean about tires. I'm afraid the mudslingers I ordered are going to disappoint, but I felt like I should try them just to see. The General Grabbers that came on the truck seem to do pretty well. I'm hoping the aluminum rims help keep it a little more planted.

Some great shots!

The hot weather finally broke! It was nice being outside and not sweating my booty off. It's been drizzling on and off all day, so I just stayed on home base.
Received 4 brand new stock Traxxas Defender tires/wheels today, so I had to give them a little breaking in.

Nice! How many fanboys would have a stroke seeing an Axial with Traxxas tires. They look good. The wife told me no, when I said I wanted to fill in the pool and make a rock crawling course. 🤣 I guess I'll just have to continue using the pool to cool down for now. 🤔

Still far too hot out for me.. :(
Last 2 days were just shy of triple digits. Today, it was just a little over 80. This weekend is going to be below 70 for a high. I'm going to enjoy it!
Got me a 3 day weekend, so planning to do a bit of crawling.

In that case, I'll just pop a large Traxxas sticker on either sides of the body 😉

How about asking her to compromise and let you build a crawling course around the perimeter of the pool? 😁

That sounds awesome. I leave for my trip from Idaho to Houston Monday and then driving back to Idaho. Probably be gone a week or more after its all said and done. Hopefully we have a few cooler days when I get back so we can take the crawlers out.

The pool eats up most of the yard (can barely walk around it) and the shed and gazebo eat up the rest. No grassy or dirt areas to convert. The front yard is small and filled with drought tolerant plants. The only good thing is I don't have a lawn to mow. I have extra bricks and pavers, I might try stacking them into obstacles to climb. 🤔 I can't wait for November when it cools down again!

After dinner yesterday evening, I wanted to do some more crawling, the rain had come back, so I grabbed the SCX24 Deadbolt and crawled around the family room. It was actually quite fun and challenging!
