  1. Crawling
Dittlers Beach. Really nice place, very well hidden. Everything from soft sand to impossible climbs. Nice trails or serious rocks. Terrain for any scale.
Met a young fellow there yesterday driving an ECX 1/12 monster truck that was three years old. No, it was not a nice climber, but he was into it anyway. Very careful with his rig......so, Of course I had to let him drive my Coyote. Really impressed with Chris, young guy and was not afraid to crawl my rig but was as careful as anyone can be. He was analyzing every wheel placement and working out routes before crawling. Hope to run into him again. Just putting the TX in the hands of a person that has never used anything like this was quite enjoyable,

Wrong Portland! 🤷‍♀️🤣

Sounds like a fun and nerve-wracking outing!

At least Chris didn't say 'Here, hold my beer...' first! 😲 I might have been too terrified to turn that radio over!

I'm sure you made his day though! I'm glad you had fun and nothing got damaged! 😎

actually, the crawling spot is not visible from the road and parking lot. but have not seen any druggie homeless there at all.

huh, the unseen out of the way places are where they usually hide out. i lost some BMX trails i bashed at a few times to that.
There's this awesome BMX and mountain bike park off the side of the freeway called Gateway green in Portland Oregon. A couple homeless moved in, brought a car INTO THE PARK, then proceeded to catch it on fire and almost burn the whole park down to the ground. It's made a pretty good comeback. I was real worried for a little bit because they were building a MAX train through the park, and if they had built a stop down there, it would be bad for sure.

my spot was oddly enough also off the side of a freeway. it was between a bike trail that ran along a "riverbed" where 2 freeways intersected/merged and went over the "riverbed". we called it Anarchy Trails. it was pretty awesome back in the 90's. at one point it was popular enough that highway patrol was having problems with people parking on the shoulder of the freeway and going through a hole that had been cut in the chain link fence to ride there. and every now and then the city would level it and all the local kids would go rebuild it.
last time i was checked, about 2016, it was a homeless encampment. tents and ghetto shanties. trash everywhere, smelled like piss and vomit. handful of people in various states of zombieism. iv heard of a few fires down in there. i know it gets cleared out every once in a while but it doesn't last long and nobody seems to build jumps in there anymore.

there was another BMX spot a couple miles down the bike trail off another freeway. but do to an encampment and a car accident it got leveled, all the landscaping was redone and because its on the border of an upper scale neighborhood it gets patrolled like crazy.
