idk why people are so butt hurt over white plastic. just dye it black. its not hard. back in the OG RC10 buggy days guys did it all the time, it was cool cause you could more personalize your car. i remember seeing cars with pink, purple, blue, green arms. i remember one truck one time with yellow front and purple rear arms. thought it was cool as hell.

The difference is peoples expectations have changed. The hobby has moved in a more scale direction, even bashers. So to come out with a truck in 2026 that looks like this and makes you have to dye it to get the look it should have is most likely going to be a deal breaker for most.

Now, offering the white plastic as an option so you can customize your vehicle is a different story.

I personally haven't Rit dyed something in a decade.

Then you have this pattern; it's old as heck.

I think most are tired of these releases from them.

I liked how a lot of those dye jobs looked too. There were a lot of great looking cars when RC10's were still king. 😎👍

I watched the running video. I switched reasons to not like it.
The price isn't that bad if you compare it to scamazon buggies.
It does ride slightly stiffer than my first skateboard tho. 😐
If the shocks are rebuildable, springs can be swapped out... it might have potential.
I don't care for the orange. The dyable stuff is fine for me. I have tons of black plastic. Something different is welcome.

Way to go Team Associated! You guys are absolutely KILLING IT!!! 🤩🤣

Because if I wanted a project, I would buy a project vehicle. For the price I shouldn't have to dye the plastic the color it should have come in the first place.
That's like going out to dinner, then having to cook your own meal.

You quiet down or I'll make you do the dishes too! 🤣

this is RC, everything is a project. you buy a new RTR and you still have to spend time wrenching on it to at minimum double check the factory build quality and probably make some adjustments to get it to drive how you want it. not much difference in that and dyeing parts while you build a kit.

and besides AE's probably got a blacked out RTR version down the pike anyway, so...

I am happy to see the springs can be changed. I didn't see others on the parts list. They sure are proud of these $hock$! 😲🤣
Dying the plastic is no more difficult than painting a body to me. 🤷‍♀️

I will agree though, aside from color, I am struggling to see any relationship with the RC10. If this could have been sold for $20 less in silver alum or black plastic... I would be ok with that too.

What kind of trickery is this? For some reason, the more I look at it, the more I want it. I feel like it would be a unique build and running experience. Its really starting to grow on me and I may just have to get one. Call me crazy!

Ok Team Associated... You win this round. I called my LHS and asked them to reserve me one.
I know you said you're crazy, but can you explain what it is about it?

My initial impression was it screams that old school kind of Tyco Bandit look, but not quite nailed down.

I dont care for the "rc10" label. I like that it's an in-between. It just looks fun and the just right amount of speed. It looks like something my kids might like to drive around. I'm honestly tired of these rcs that are meant for high speed bashing. I honestly like the niche they are going for with this.

It's just alright...
I love the old Team Associated. I'm tired of these RC10 re-re's/variants. They need to hire someone with some real creativity.
Rumor on the street for a while now is the design team are gone.
