Are we talking basic surpass motors and ESCs or the rocket line? I've got the rocket 8.5t/120a combo in my dr10 and I love it. Rocket 13.5/130a combo in my dc10 and its great, though haven't had much track time with it yet. Ran a 13.5/120a rocket combo for 4wd carpet buggy and loved it. I'm hooked on the rocket line for 1/10. Can't beat the value.
Ah, Just found it on their site, i wasn't aware these had been released. To be honest, at looks like almost the exact same system as the rocket stuff just without the programmability. I'd send it.Surpass Hobby 1/10 S540 Combo 17.5t Fixed Timing Motor w/ S60A ESC
I'm putting together some yokomo rs 2.0's and wanting something for an 11 year old to learn with, we have traxxas 4tecs, but hte yokomo is alot lighterAh, Just found it on their site, i wasn't aware these had been released. Even if it's not top tier Trinity Slot machine and XR10, it will be more than enough to get you to an A main at a club race.
There are different tiers of electronics. I've not used any of Surpass Hobby's ESCs but there's going to be performance gains when going from Surpass Hoby to the Surpass Hobby Rocket line. It's like going from Hobbywing's Quicrun to Xerun series of electronics. Just like the RS<MS kit versions. If somebody wants to get their feet wet in spec class racing or just running out and about... go for it.was looking at getting a couple of the 17.5 fixed iming motor and esc combos, looked at reviews and guys say to stay away from the esc, does anybody have any experience?

I have three Surpass Rocket brushless motors in various rigs. All perform very well. Super strong & have met my expectations. I've had zero issues & would buy another.that i do know and have been in the hobby off and on for years, i was just curious because i read that the motors are great, esc now so much

thank you, was just curious and still looking at options, we are coming from traxxas 4tecs with bl2s to yokomo rs 2.0Id say you're safe. The only surpass hobby escs i had problems with we're these ones because I'd pull massive amps through them.

The one you're looking at looks to be an updated platform and the same platform as the rocket, just fixed. Says it's 3s rated so if you're just racing 2s it ought to be fine.
I personally would be 100% comfortable purchasing and racing that fixed timing combo. Surpass has come a long way in the recent years.
Idk much about on road stuff, but I know in the drift world yokomo makes some of the best kits for the money. I'm sure the new setup will be quite noticeably easier to handle. Keep us posted!thank you, was just curious and still looking at options, we are coming from traxxas 4tecs with bl2s to yokomo rs 2.0
