What is the best Spektrum 4S G2 battery pack for use in the Super Baja Rey?

I order a Super Baja Rey this week. Looking into what is the best Spektrum G2 battery pack to get for it.
Looking at the parts break down and compatible batteries I thought I had it covered with a pair of G2 S2 packs I already have, but in the diagrams, I am not seeing where the Super Baja Rey is setup for the dual plugs like my UDRs so I am not sure what all I need to get. I may just get a sinlge 4S pack for it or couple of them.

They seem to have a lot to pick from in the 4S packs as well, so I am not sure which is best.
I am guessing this is the best one, but not sure if it fits the best or if it fits at all.

I’m broke so I run CNHL batteries that are superior.

But if I were you I’d buy whichever pack has the most MAH and fits in the battery tray.

They are all 5000 MAH I am not real sure what the 30C, 50C,100C.
I am guessing that is some sort of capacity rating not real sure.

No thanks, I really like the G2 smart batteries.
I also like the Traxxas smart batteries.
I am not looking to switch to anything else.
I really like the single plugs and the plug them in and let the chargers do their thing.
I really don't want to mess with all the balancing plugs and charger settings, etc.
I really like the simplisity of the Spektum and Traxxas single plug smart chargers.

With the Spektrum radio and G2 battery, I also get the charge state info on my remotes, so I can tell when the battery is getting low.
Which is really why I bought a few Spektum G2s to start with, I was not getting the charge info from my Traxxes Batteries running my IC5 adapters.

Oh I see. I’d go with 100c since that is the punch rating of the battery. Not sure really how much more punch helps but……

Do your chargers at least tell you the IR’s when the battery is done charging?

The smart stuff is actually really dumb stuff. The one thing with LiPo batteries you NEED to pay attention to is your internal resistance, which will degrade over time. When it reaches a certain point, your battery will ignite, either during charging, burning down your home, or burning up your RC while discharging. The dumb batteries completely remove that IR reading from your ability to monitor your battery health as far as I know. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from using the smart battery crap. But to each their own. Some people are just too easily swayed towards what they consider easy, even if it is highly unsafe.

I have used Traxxas Lipo Batteries for years.
Virtually no issues with any of them.
I like them just fine and have a lot of them, so no plans to change anytime soon if ever.

I only added a some Spektrum batteries because they came out with the G2 series and I now have some Losi RCs.
The G2s are similar to Traxxas battery, in that I don't I have to mess with all the balancing and extra plugs and what not.
So far plenty happy with the Spektrum battery packs as well. I am thinking, I may like them a bit better than my Traxxas battery packs, I know I like that all my Spektrum's are hard cased. Where only a few of my newer Traxxas batteries are hard cased.

IMHO atleast spektrum's ecosystem is better than Traxxas's. At least on spektrum chargers they show the voltage but they don't have IR reader. If OP is feels fine and safe with it I don't see any issues for them to be running them.

In response to the OP, I would go with the 100C option. Can handle more power bc it can handle more discharge current. Compared to anything lower than 50C. Well, that's what they state but C ratings are always mostly false so can't say for certain.

Oh nice. Goes back to my opinion and claim that spektrum's system is more safe and reliable than Traxxas's system.

I get the use of the smart spektrum packs but it's just so overpriced IMHO. If you want a smart ecosystem, Gens A-C-E has good products. With the g tech system it can be charged on any charger and used in any car bc the smart tech is in the balance plug not a pin in the main power leads like spektrum IC is Traxxas ID. Ecopower (AMains brand) is a look alike copy of Gens A-C-E but I think it's more expensive than gens, last time I checked.

I personally have a d300 charger because it is such a good price and has more wattage than the hota D6s (sorry Hota gurus), even though I don't use gens batteries it works really well and nicely.

Just keep an eye on the internal resistance, that is an important feature in any charger.
In the meantime if you haven’t checked out the work @Greywolf74 did for all of us, give it a read. Maybe you will learn something. Too often we go round n round on “what is the best battery”. This thread has it.

Regardless, those batteries are so overpriced and deliver mediocre performance compared to other LiPo's for less than half the cost. To each their own. But when you create a thread asking what is the best garbage battery I can get, on a forum where all of the knowledgeable folk will steer clear of that smart tech crap, expect some negative feedback

What are you running in yours?

I'd go with the 100C one if possible, I've never used Spektrum smart batteries i've only used Zeee and Povway packs in the past someday i might go CNHL someday. They are some nice things about the Spektrum batteries you can see the battery level on your transmitter if you have a Spektrum smart esc and receiver like the DX3 and any other modern Spektrum smart computer transmitter my DX6C supports this tech and so did the iXSR. It's just up to you what kind batteries you run don't let me tell you how to spend your money on batteries.
