I just got my Spektrum DX2 today that I bought used. It came with the Spektrum SR3000 receiver. No manuals were included, just the transmitter and receiver. Anyway, I'm new to the 2.4GHz radios. I hooked the receiver up to my traxxas slash, putting the ESC wire into the Throttle (THR) and the servo into the Steering (STR) slots. When I turn on the radio power switch I don't believe it even turns on? I know the batteries are good too. So, I assumed since this was happening I had to bind it after reading a manual online. I went through the steps, and at the one where you hold the receiver until the LED flashes green, it didn't? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

the easiest way, is to hit the button on the receiver until the light either comes on, or flashes, then go to the Transmitter.

While holding the transmitter, hold in the button on the back WHILE TURNING ON THE TX UNIT. the receiver and transmitter should then bind to each other nd be "good to go".

Does the LED on your receiver not flash when you hold the button in, then turn on the receiver switch? It should flash after a bit, then you let off of the button. Then you do the same with the remote. Hold the button in on the back of the remote, turn on the remote, hold the button on the remote in until it flashes, then let off the button. The light on the remote is in the button on the back that you have to hold in.

I'm such an idiot. I took off the battery cover, and then looked at it for a while. Then I realized the thing popped out and there four more slots for batteries. So this whole time, I was trying to do this, and my transmitter would not turn on, because I didn't have 8 batteries in! And here I thought this Spektrum would be saving me batteries! Haha

Doh! I hate it when that happens to me! And it happens way to often for my comfort.
