I'm appalled that you don't have a ramp.
I used to awhile ago but my dad got rid of it for our move to Tucson. But hopefully we'll build or buy a new one after we get to our new house in Tucson.

Misbehavin was a mod on traxxas website. He had his own with these plans. I built one years ago and loved it.

I charged up a 2s battery and ran one of my GROMS around the front yard yesterday. When I got done I found the 'nut' on the servo saver had come off and it was not steering correctly because of that.
Is it 'ok' to put a little lock tight on that so it doesn't work loose again?

Yes, blue. It likely wasn't tight enough to begin with and thats why it came loose. If proper spring tension was applied, it likely wouldnt have come loose.

The servo saver is a 50 50 split on loctite I think...I use it.

And I drove this...

Thanks, I think I have some of the blue but wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. It's cranked on tight now and yeah, it probably wasn't tight enough when I installed it.

Back on Amazon Prime Day, I bought a neat little bag of 7.5" course marker cones for less than six bucks. I marked out my course in the back yard and ran my Rlaarlo SBK10 Stormbreaker around the course. The cones get knocked around a bit more than I hoped so I stuck three adhesive-backed 1/4-oz. lead weights around the base of each one. I'll run around them again tomorrow to see if it helps. If it doesn't, I'll use some 16P nails to anchor them. I'm hoping to avoid that.

If you go the nail route, pre-drill a hole for the nail so the plastic doesn't crack from forcing a nail thru it.

I'll put a hole in them if I have to use nails, but I'll use a hole punch instead of a drill. These cones are soft; almost like silicone or rubber but just a bit more plastic-like. They don't flip the vehicle if you run over them.

I like your avatar. :) 👍 I have a T-shirt that has an image of the data that shows in my Nikon Z 7II viewfinder. Most folks look at it and ask what the heck the shirt means. 😄
