My kid would love that. Let us know how she flies
It's a quick jet and definitely a little nose heavy but flew great out of the box with some minimal manual trim before the maiden and maybe a few clicks of elevator trim due to the nose heaviness. It most certainly does not "stay in the air" quite as easily as my Viper 70mm, nor does it what to take off quite as quickly, but for all of two flights I've done with it, I really enjoyed the look of the jet in the air and the maneuverability for a fairly novice pilot.

Is that one that needs to be flying at top speed to fly well? Considering the 1:1 can fly exceptionally well at slow speeds, that would be kind of a buzz kill. Is there any way to shift weight around?

I don't know much about RC aircraft, but we experimented for about a month with one of those big foam gliders. We added weight, removed it, etc, all while trying to see how far we could get it to fly. By the time we were done adding a lot of weight and strengthening the wings with welding rods shoved through them as a spar, it flew the length of the airport hanger we were in. It was a real learning experience.

It definitely needs some speed, but I think it can handle some slower flying, just not too slow lol

Sometimes I don't know why I even bother. I decided to spend $30 to race and no one tells me about a new Lipo rule running withOUT regulators until *after* paying the track fee. In my opinion it's stupid to run a 2s lipo with these small little cars without a regulator. Well the bed was already made and someone smashed into my LF and broke the steering spindle. The body broke too in the back, didnt notice until I got home. I think I'll just rebuild it into a display model and not race again if they're gonna play demolition derby. Sorry for the mini rant. But I feel like I got screwed out of 30 bucks, when I'm pinching every penny on the 1:10 SK pan car.

Edit: also found out people were using traction compound when they weren't supposed to. The shop owner doesn't even follow his own rules.

What track did this happen at?
Want to borrow my Granite for a little payback?

Lol I don’t wanna say I don’t wanna stir up any trouble. I’m just annoyed about the LiPo thing more than anything. I don’t like how they just randomly on the fly switch up rules and stuff.

Seems like the damage to your car is good reason to be annoyed. 😐

I can replace the part the broke, but yeah it's still very annoying. We only went to Lipos with regulators (5 volts) because the 5 volt NiMh packs that comes with the cars arent as consistent and die off at the end of the races. I don't know why they decided all of a sudden to just go Lipo mode with no regulator. The cars are too small and uncontrollable for all that power. Not to mention they are a pain to work on.

It looks like a beautiful car too!
It prob is as light as it looks, doesn't need much power to go fast!
I'm glad you can fix it

Thanks man I appreciate it. I'm just gonna put it away for awhile and focus on the bigger 1:10 SK Pan Car. I'm literally pinching pennies to get it done and tonight didn't help lol. That car is getting close(r) to being done, but I still have to get some equipment for it as well as a carry case.

Just arrived today. WLtoys 284010. This 1/28 is very zippy, and I think looks great. The only con is that the turning radius is a wider than I prefer. This may not work well on my tight micro track.
But, for $65, this is a keeper!

Hey buddy. The tree in the background has your Datsun lights. Congrats on the little one. 28th is too damn small.

Those are pretty cool, look up “beaverRC” (?) he has an accent but does good work with the mini z clones!

Yeah, been watching a number of his videos. I may one day attempt that hack to turn my Flysky GT3 to a universal Mini Z tx. However, the video is 6 years old, so I'm not sure if it's still relevant to the newer Mini Z electronics.
