I have seen a fair amount of construction vehicles. Dump trucks, loaders, bobcat type smaller bucket vehicles etc. Are there any out there that are capable of actually moving snow around? It's been so cold this year most of the snow has been light and easy to move. Unfortunately physical problems mean I should not even be doing that. Am toying with the idea of something that can push snow around for me, hopefully without having to convert a lawn tractor to rc to make it happen.

One of these. And you need either 4 power wheels drive units running 775 size. And you could make it for under 1000 all in. My 12x12 could do it. But I would say miminum is an SCX6 with tires and chains. But yes. Doable. 100%

Sorry to ressurect this, but how well does that work? Might be a fun project for my dad and I. He gets tired of pushing the snow when it's coming down and by the time it stops it's too wet and thick to clear effectively. We broke 4 shear pins this past winter. It's very wet snow here in Illinois. It does ice over when it's on the grass though, fun to drive RCs around on.

I expect the reality is the smaller and light your plow vehicle, rc or other, the more often you will have to be out there for it be effective. If yer gonna get 12in you will need to go out and clear it as soon as 2-3in builds up to have any chance of moving the stuff.

Yeah, we have to go out every 30-60 minutes. We have an Ego self-propelled snowblower, but you have to walk behind it and steer. My dad has been looking at something like that robot to clear it continuously. We have a nearly 200 foot driveway.
