So I'm new to the rc world, and need something to wrench on. The bl2s slash needs a motor upgrade but I don't know if I will burn the esc up upgrading the motor. Can you guys find me some links as to combo deals or just the motor if the esc can handle it.

I'm not experienced with slash so I can't help
But I'm curious as to the answer as I'm considering getting a slash myself
I have 400 to spend on an rc today and the choices is Killin me lolol

You can't go wrong with a slash, its simple layout and platform are simple to work on and alot of fun.

Traxxas doesn't list specs on their esc so I would stick with a bl2s 3300kv motor because of that. Don't know how high or low it can handle. Plus it has a weird motor plug so if you want to go aftermarket you would have to solder direct bullets onto it.
Imo if you want aftermarket and something a bit better and faster, can't go wrong with a 10bl120 G2 combo from hobbywing. In the 3660 combo. Sure, 3652 combo can work but the 3660 has a bit more pep and torque to it.

Check out 9x19s teknos in the for sale section 😉

Your stock ESC uses 3.5mm bullet plugs, the rest of the 1/10th scale market uses 4mm plugs. If you just replace the motor you'll have to replug it with 3.5mm bullets. My recommendation for a motor is a Castle 1410, it's a rocket.

Agree 👍

@majin If you want a badass RC, buy that SCT 410 2.0.
@WickedFog @Lostinthewoods86 you know i value your advice very much. talked to @9x19 buying the sct...can't wait to see if its as durable as the claims muahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!
now gotta find good electronics bundle and wheels for the truck

You just bought one of the baddest SCT's there is bro. So jealous!

I can't say too many good things about the Flysky GT5 radio.

I hear near equal praise for their lower cost GT3B as well.

That ($85) Hobbywing 10BL120 ESC / 3700kV combo would probably work great in the SCT.

What's the beef with the gt5? I have one but only used it maybe 4 or 6 hours.
