Hello. Earlier I asked for advice on how to get a little more speed out of a hbx 2996a. Well since I was at home with 103 temp I finally had time to do some work on it. Now I just wanted a little more speed so I added a surpass hobby esc and 4000lv motor. Paired with a Dumborc. I have 6 of these and 2 of the hbx 2995, same thing buggy version. This one is just for the local parking lot so street tires. Only planning on running this on 2s. Off the line no tire spinning like stock did but deffinetly fast. Not a lot but noticeable which is all I wanted. So on street this is a super simple upgrade to do. Next up will be my backyard basher that the dog chases for exercise daily. Now for that I'm just going to add a hw 120a esc. EVEN SIMPLER! derbycityrc on YouTube has done upgrades on the 2995 and they can deffinetly handle 3s so a 3s esc upgrade to get some juice out of the stock motor might be ALL I need to do :) well see if I get to that before the snow falls. Might have to buy a fan boat for the dog this winter. Anyways here's the not too pretty setup, 103 temp, that was simple and gave me more speed.
