Yes sir, cut the chassis until the suspension braces met. This was in the old days of 27turn brushed motors and 7.2v Nimh batteries. It would wheelie for a long way...

Battery is mounted sideways, just in front of motor.

I did that once way back when. Fun but you can't mash it even brushed. I've had my 1/8 extension 15 or so years so now the factory length seems too short. 😝

Yeah, the mod worked better than I planned, and I had to make a custom wheelie bar for it. This was before Traxxas had one for them. I used it for a short time when I converted it back to 'normal' length and brushless, but after changing out the transmission for a 272R went with the factory wheelie bar.

I used to use steel sheet for a wheeliebar. I'm doing that again but with some titanium. I remember when the stampede 4x4 was a tranny on both ends with 2 motor/esc and 2 batteries. 😆😝
