Oooh when it comes to paint and customizing it's my favorite part of this hobby . doesn't get any better can't wait for you to post pics ..I recently my self finished a body for my GT LIMITLESS.i know this isn't a Arrma kinda of place but maybe I'll drop my pics

It’s an EVERYTHING kinda place. Share away bigdog! I dropped photos, and build threads of my “Brand-X” junk all over the Arrma Forum for a year before coming over here, and easing the suffering for my dudes over there..

Everybody’s got everything… If ya don’t post your stuff, the next “speed guy” that comes lookin’ will probably do the same thing.

“if you build it, they will come.”…

There’s aircraft, boats, and even trains here too-but that didn’t stop me from sticking around, and sharing.. My buggies, and truggies see plenty of action on the forum for sure.

It was my first time doing flames. It didn't turn out near as good as I had hoped.

It turned out awesome!

The key to Tru-Fire is forgetting about 'hot rod flames,' since Tru-Fire is totally random. The other challenge for R/C car bodies is having to do it all in reverse (throw down the lighter colors first). I've been too chicken to try it on an R/C body as of yet, but I've had some decent luck with the real thing.

I'm hoping once the weather sorts itself out and after I'm done with the full-scale Jeep project, I can get back to the airbrushing, scale model building, and R/C cars I've been neglecting for so long.

It's hard to get your stencils in the body well enough to get a good edge sometimes, and being such a small scale it makes any goofs really stand out. I'd like to try it again sometime, but I am not a big fan of flames these days.

Thanks! But, you were up against a much steeper task having to do it inside-out AND jam those little stencils into the nooks & crannies. I still say yours came out very cool.

Looks great! Tru fire is my favorite to look at but my Least favorite to paint..... that's one of my few attempts there

That's a cool effect - looks like a nice Ice Blue chaotic firestorm. I'll bet it look incredible in the sun.

The Butane Flames are fun, too. My first 'successful' flame job was a friend's motorcycle. I wasn't completely happy, but apparently he was, so that was all that mattered. I still hadn't 'let go' of the hot rod flame foundation at that point, so the front fender turned out the best.

Definitely gotta use House of Kolors paints, and Dupont Centauri Clear (if you can find it).

I also did a run of Butane Flames on my BFF's Ram, then shot HOK Purple Kandy - which turned out better, but I still hadn't quite gotten the knack yet.

That Dupont Centauri just goes on too well. This is even before cut-n-buff.

I've been thinking hard about getting a Cricut... and also a 3D Printer. I guess I'll get more serious about those the closer I get to retirement, since they'll be hugely helpful in my new life of being able to enjoy my hobbies more easily.
