Wheels and Tires always makes a huge difference, looks wise and also tires are like the most beneficial thing to setup. (If I am correct arrma uses 14mm hexes and most 1/10 Short Course wheels use 12mm hex so you might need to get adapters. ProLine and Jconcepts are pretty good aftermarket tire/wheel setups. Duratrax and Louise Tires are pretty good too)

Later down the road upgrading to a brushless esc/motor will make it alot more faster and less hassle. (Hobbywing, castle, ect)

Faster/speedier servo is also nice. (Savox, EcoPower, ProTek, PowerHD, just to name a few good brands)

If you aren't using lipos already, lipos are a huge game changer. (SMC, CNHL, Hoovo) And having a decent charger to view voltages/Internal resistance is helpful. (SkyRC, Hota, HiTec) (Coming from a average club racer but a once in a while basher kind of guy doesn't need a high fancy dollar charger imo. Just something that can do basic functions ;) )

Senton's a good choice for a first full build. Bought my Senton as a slider chassis and built her up from there. Eventually converting her to a 2WD buggy with a Typhon body.

Upgrades? I recommend the ARRMA 'Boost' steel diff and steel spur gear - and a steering servo upgrade eventually. -AC

I very much like the slider option for doing a Burger King build... don't have to worry about ripping out all that RTR 'stuff'. :thumbs-up:

Yeah I needed a new hobby to blow money on. I bought my Slash first but it is a work in progress not RTR like seller told me. I was collecting knives but girlfriend put her foot down after I bought 2 knives at over $600cdn each one
Ha. Your GF thinking knives are expensive. Better hide you RC receipts . . . ;)

Yeah, you'll find company in a few knife collectors on this site too. Relive the old days . . .

These are upgrades I am going to do. I was going to start with motor then door 4wd and trans. upgrade

I think the 4x4 conversion would be a must do thing... for me anyways. I've done the 2wd thing for years, but that first pull of the trigger when I moved to 4wd SCT... that was a game changer! I then proceeded to sell off all my 2wd SCT platforms  :thumbs-up:. My 2wd SCTs have been discontinued for quite some time now, and I thought I'd let someone else enjoy them or use them for parts. I would buy/run another 2wd SCT if someone would offer one in kit form and spur/pinion gears were sealed off from Mother Earth.

I can't wait to see your SCT progress.

That's what I did but never got around to making it 4wd. The brushless upgrade is great but i can't remember if you need a new receiver with the upgrade or if the 2-in-1 has an option to just be a receiver. I was planning to run my own receiver so it didn't matter to me at the time, but something worth checking and considering.

Thanks I will look into that

THANKS everyone I never know what i am doing from one day to next. I have converted my truck to 4WD and going to run stock electronics on 2S LIPO. I have a Slash 2WD that is already set up brushless 3S LIPO and few other mods. I thought it was going to be a nightmare as it never worked properly from the minute I got home after buying off some kid. Turns out it was a combination of weak battery and lack of knowledge. I bought new batteries then learned u have to turn radio on then truck otherwise it doesn't work properly. Long story short it is fixed but I am going to do some upgrades and bash my Senton then upgrade parts as I break them.

I'm currently doing that same truck, only I'm sticking with the stock power module, and using the 32P plastic spur from the Infraction: https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/spur-gear-55t-0.8-mod/ARA311112.html . I only ever run my stuff on 2S, so I don't see the need for some of the 3S parts. However, I'm going to "monster" mine a bit, and use the tires and wheels from the Vorteks.
