Hey Guys,

I have some bad news. If I want to marry my girlfriend I am going to have to cell the MT, and the 1/8 scale bug, my Jetski and my PS2. All her family does is work all the time. Including her. In fact I can't even run the MT on the farm because someone might complain that I am playing when there is work to do. I guess I have no choice. I love her, and this is the only way. What I have is not exactly good stuff, so I doubt I will post anything here. No one would be interested in this stuff trust me. I just bought the ski last year and barely put 10 hours on it. The MT was never raced, and the Xterm Pro only 4 tanks through it for break in. Damn... this sucks. Just need to vent a bit. Sorry guys. Take care.

It is to the point now where it is time to poop or get off the pot kinda deal. We have been dating for 2 years, and it getting time to make the decision to marry her, or stop wasting her time. You know. Unfortunately if I marry her I will no longer be able to run nitros, play video games, run the Jetski, or target shoot. Her family always works. There is always work to be done. Hell I wouldn't even know how much any of it is worth. It is not good equipment by the standards I have read here on this forum. I will continue to visit and support the site. I think what you have to decide is if you are willing to give up all your hobbies for her. It kinda seems it would be miserable if all you could do is work, but I'm 16 and I'm lazy haha. Good luck!

If you have to give up everything you enjoy to marry her, then that's a doomed marriage right from the start. You may want to slow down a bit, sounds to me like either her or her family are pushing for the marriage. My wife and I dated for 5 years before we got married, now we have been married for 10 years. She has her hobbies and interests and I have mine, and we both support each other. If your wife won't support the things you enjoy, your hobbies and interests, then maybe, just maybe this is not the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. A marriage is a give and take, sounds like your doing all the giving, your going to wind up resenting her, and the fact you had to give up everything you enjoy to marry her. No matter what you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck. Just my

Dude that is crap. Even if you love her, and she loves you, you should not have to give up ALL of your hobbies. Thats total BS... If she can put up with your hobbies now, why can't she put up with it being married? I'm confused...

Dude I hear ya. I just don't know what other choice I have. I have never felt so embarassed about loving to do what I love to do. I am made to feel like am a kid and I am not supposed to play. I am an adult. Toys are for kids. I am not to play until the work is done, and the work is never done. I have never met a family that doesn't relax at all. Work sun up to sun down. Go to work during the day and come home and work until its time for bed. Every day. I would have to bug broken in by now if it had not been for all the work.

I have to say this is nothing to what I've seen. my brother is in a very deep long relationship w/ his girlfriend for going on 5 years now. they have brought up marriage and it has gone back down. I'm not to sure how old you are but my brother is 25 and he hasn't yet what drives you to marriage so fast?

BTW, I knew my wife 6 months before we got married and it's going on 10 years now. I go out all night when I want and the only things she will say to me is not to drive, which is fine by me cuz I need 2 hands to drink What I am saying, is that is how I was when we met and she has never asked me to change. I don't go out as often but knowing I can whenever I want without getting a hassle is good enough for me. Well I do love her, very much.... and I am almost 30. It is getting to the point in my life where it is something I am ready for. I just didn't expect this whole giving up the toys thing.....

I think she cares, I just don't think she understands... she has a 4 year old, who is absolutely wonderful... a real handful but a wonderful kid. Wish he was mine. She doesn't really have any hobbies, never really did as far as I know. She is a PHD Physical Chemist and is smarter than anyone has a right. I just think she thinks its just a toy and that is it.
