meh whatever. here's how you gotta play it. post whatever the hell pic you happen to have readily available and hope for anything but last.
...although i think you got last... meh, whatever. loosing is it's own reward, cause you can participate next month. the winner is out for a year. kind of a weird game if you think about it. the winner gets punished and the rest of us just keep playing.

I wonder if photography has a play in this as well. Here are some Heisenburg stats:
90% of the pictures in my library were taken over 7 years ago, likewise 60% of what I post here. Back then, there was a wheelie bar on each rig until I found a way to keep the nose on the ground, and had not yet figured out how to get the suspension low enough to not look like a "hat" with the body, and lower the body work itself. I might need to re shoot these cars. What;s so important about 7 years ago? That is when I took over the house and started living alone. Big life change.

I think a fresh pic with how the car looks today is better. Plus you can show how you are using it today and where.
I don't have a bunch of rc that run currently.
No reason to take a pic of a stock Gorgon for a contest. When I have my cars up and running, something I built and am proud to show off, I think I'll post here too.
I won't be focused on winning or votes souch as on how to improve my car and my photography skills.
When I post my perfect shot, I'll hope everyone will agree but won't be upset if someone else wins.

I think you should take a pic today. 👍

I've always kind of done my own thing, so why care now? You're right on that. But, not for nothing, .........
I'm losing to macaroni and cheese!
yeah, but thats a creative entry, its unusual so gathers more likes, weve all seen rc's on workbenches lol, nothing special about that often, but throw something unusual at it and it gets the likes.

This is your first entry, right?
It will get easer I bet.
It seems couter intuitive but I find the easiest way to fit in is to not give a sh!t what anyone in the room thinks. 🤣
I think there is a bit of learning curve or luck involved.
I will say that on occasion, stepping outside the box, or inside in this case might be a ticket to the winners circle too. Its a funny pic and so ppl will vote for that too. 😎
I have voted for a specific car because the build had personal meaning to the builder and had a story shared with the car. The story moved me and so did the build. 👍
Easy choice that month...

Its not always just the pic I think. 😎

the pic of my Mini Cooper i posted (last month?) was taken in like 2005ish. believe it was a mid pack finisher.
the pic I'm entering next month was taken about that same time. it should also be a solid mid pack finisher.
the main key thing iv noticed is people have to think the RC in the pic is cool. beyond that the shot just has to be clear (in focus). a cool background doesn't seem to have to much to do with it as long as its in focus.
judging is weird. :hehe:

I do vote for my competitors, but not based on what I like. If I see something unique, or outstanding, it gets my vote.
If that mac and cheese rustler had body mounts and clevis pins sticking through the roof, I might have voted it

What if I entered this one, photographed in front of the Lynn Tower 4 firehouse, which is the house it represents? I'm going to have to pull some strings to get permission, but need to do something. I'm dead last this time around

Lynn, Lynn, city of sin.
You never come out the same way you went in. 🤣

Thank you. I have decided it is unfair as no one else does it like that.
What I means to post that vehicle, photographed in front of the Broadway firehouse, which is the company it is meant to honour. (My father's old company)If the photography art counts for something, then maybe I need to move away from "work bench" shots.

I think Sin City Cycles was just off Broadway wasn't it? 🤔

I like the fire truck! Some scenery like a firehouse would be cool.

If the build has a theme, makes sense to show it off.
Besides, my workbench makes my cars look fat. 🤷‍♀️

I don't know why this is so hard for you to comprehend. Everybody else gets it. The contest isn't "photo album of the month". You simply take a pic of an RC and post it.

i miss entering
Same.
