Then someone here will point that out and the original poster gets defensive and it spirals into unproductive online yelling.The only issue is we never get both sides, and then some will use it as a revenge tool when they get their feelings hurt over a trade, etc.
I'm all ears if you get legitimately scammed and have the proof, but ship delays, an order taken and the shop had to order it themselves etc are annoyances, not always indicative of how the shop runs and more suited to just bemoaning a less-than smooth purchase. Fine, but personally I just read those and say eh.. risky purchases don't always pan out.
I bought a Tamiya kit from a shop in NY when everyone else was out of stock. He didnt actually have it, ordered it himself, gave me a runaround about his warehouse, supposed to be delivered yadda yadda. 2 weeks later I had it.
Annoying? Yes. Reason to smear the shop for all to see? Eh, I have better things to do and I'd rather see more brick and mortar hobby shops, than scare people away with a bad review because I was inconvenienced.
