Hey Guys

Another one, hope you are not getting tired from my restore projects!?

Picked this up a few days ago, there are a few issues with it, like a weird steering problem (more on that later).
Apparently its mutliple upgrades such as a two speed gear box.
Kinda disappointing that Kyosho went all plastic on this model, even the wheel axle cups are made from plastic?
Engine does not budge, prob left sitting with no after run oil applied.
This one will have to wait a while, until I finish the Kyosho Vone S3 I am working on at the moment.
This one was not that cheap, cost me USD $120.

Will keep yo posted on the progress.

Sweet looking car!

And no. Not getting tired. Only jealous! :D

Nice car. Not too bad for the price. Please fix the wheels. I agree with the jealous part. 🤣

Very cool. We never get tired of the restore projects. Jump over to your profile page and snag a build banner so you can link one of your builds.

never tired of seeing life breathed back in this old stuff

Thanks for your support!

I gave the engine a hot ultrasonic bath today, and it came out as show in photos.

What wheels do you think I should replace with, color?
Aliexpress has a ton of wheels to choose from

Any matching wheels. Both are 5 spoke but appears some are singl spoke and some twins.

As for replacememts, Id go factory or Aston racing wheels. Give it a scale look.

More photos of the engine assembled.

Looking good, looking forward to seeing it running

The Fazer is ready to hit the road.
Assembled it today, looks great.
Engine has really good compression.
Surprisingly, the throttle linkage is working real good from factory, unlike HPI.

Looks really good man, glad to see another perfect restoration from you, hope you have a lot of fun with it

Hi Guys

Without making a new thread, hoping the issue I have gets seen.
Just working on this Fazer and there is just too much positive TOE IN.
Please see photos, if one wheen is straight, the other has way too much positive toe in.
I am really confused why Kyosho would do such a thing, I can't see anything wrong with the steering linkage.
ALso, haveing a hard time finding adjustable shorter steering linkage rods (is that what they are called?).

Photos: first photo on the left is what the RHS wheels looks like when LHS wheel is straight.

Thanks

It almost looks like the "L" and "R" on your axle hub portals (name?) are reversed. Maybe that messes with the geometry.

Not sure what you mean, axle hubs are orientated properly and on the proper side.

I can't figure it out, keep looking at it, but no solutions come to mind, except shorter turnbuckles, which are impossible to find that short.

After reading a bit about it, turns out the car is set up this way from factory.

Still I need a solution.
