ok i got a hpi rs4, and i can get it to start and run but when i try to use the remote control it wont work its like its not getting signal. It worked when i first started to run it, then i crashed it and now it wont work. I checked the freq... thing on the car and its in and the one on the controler is in too... both are am 27 MHz ........anyone have any idea whats wrong and whati need to do to fix this thanks for your help..

Make sure your batts are good on the car and the remote. Make sure your switch works, and all your wires are pluged into the reciever.

Ya do all that. If you have other crystals, switch them out, it sounds like you could've cracked your crystal in the car. Or, the reciever could be messed up. You will also want to pull the antenna tube out and see if the wire got cut, it's happened to me numerous times...

Really, there is no way to check if it is cracked. Because in the metal housing is an actual crystal, and the only way to get to the crystal is to destroy the whole thing. So, swap out frequencies and see if that helps.
You would need an O- scope to see if the crystal is oscillating at the proper frequency. If you are off by more then the gaurd band allows you won't be able to control the car. Let us know if it is your crystals. I swapped my recievers for novak XXL 's and on the right band FM for me.
