Reefs servo on a scx10

I have read that bad end point adjustments can fry about any servo. I will be under 4s @ 3s max so no issues there too.
I see lots of ppl running the 299 in 1/10 scale. Any thought there?
What kind of 1/10 scale 4x4 are you putting it in to? The 299 would work on nearly any 1/10 scale, but if you're talking about a crawler, I'd personally want something a bit beefier. The 299 would work in a crawler, but I like having way more torque than I need, so I'd prolly go with the 500 in that case.

I would consider the 229 to be under powered as well for a crawler. We run quite a few of the NSDRC RS 800's and like them. Also just installed the new 3 BRC G13 servo in our Ryft crawler, and that is doing well.

Yeah, sorry about that...
This is going to go into a Frankenbuild 1/10 carpet buggy.
I don't know if this thing will ever reall y make it to a track so I was sort of looking for some overall opinion of the servo and company.
If the 299 doesn't work in this application, I have some other 1/10 scale, optima mid, rc 10, 10gt 10b2...
I thought it could go in something if it was good.
I don't own `any "good" servos so I'm not really positive what will be good or bad about these. Reviews all seem to speak highly of Reef's in general.

Reefs is a good brand. I only own the 500, so I can't speak directly about the 299's quality, but the specs are more than good enough for a carpet buggy.
