Reefs dropped a bomb on everyone at ProLine BtF in the form of a complete comp crawler slider:
https://reefsrc.com/products/reefs-xp10-plague-founders-edition

The current option is a pre-order for the "Founders Edition" coming in at a whopping $1400... 😲

My personal take: It looks like an Amazon comp chassis covered in Amazon parts. There's nothing unique enough about it to justify the price besides the brand. The body design is freakin sick though, I'll give them that!

Reefs is loosing me.
I contacted them about the limited edition 500 servos. There is a membership and a youtube song and dance and they are still more expensive than a regular 500 after all that.

I just wanted a pretty servo... Youtube and I aren't happening...ever. RCTALK is all the membership I can handle! 🤣

This thing looks cool but for that kind of money, I would need for it to be PERFECT. Not that I'm super into crawlers.

It sure looks nice! 😍

It will sell, especially to those who don't want to chase down all the custom parts. Pricing is reasonable considering the build parts. It's a comp truck for sure, so that price point won't bother many in that crowd. I dig the axles, but that's about it.

Yup, they will do well with it. As mentioned in the vid, comp guys will put more than that into their rigs, and that is not counting the trial and error expenses. I would rather build my own since I love to tinker, but yeah, a lot of Reefs fans out there that will be opening their wallets with enthusiasm!

That is how I like to roll, too. It can be fun to experiment, frustrating too, but..fun! I think you also develop an appreciation for it and the process can help you understand the changes you make.
