Are you guy's using Rechargeable Batteries for your radio, if so which ones/brand.?

i have like 30 rechargables and most of them i got off the bay, no named stuff, like 16 for $15 and so on but id say out of every 10, about half of them go bad pretty fast. But i also have energizers and they have been going strong for 3 years now and I've used them in alot of stuff.

actually i just use a Energizer charger, it holds 4 and is a 15 minute charger, got it at target for like $30 and its been used atleast once a week for like i said, 3 years now. nothing high tech but it does a great job and doesn't heat up.

i bought 40 AA 2500mAh 1.2V Rechargeable Ni-MH Battery BTY. and 4 case's that hold 4. and a 8 Channel Autocut T868 Charger for Nimh. charges 8 at a time

I do the same thing as olds. I charge my Energizers rechargeables with my r/c charger at .5A I just plug my radio right into the charger.

sears/ k-mart has a die-hard brand ni-mh, AAs 4 ea are $11. charger for 4 and bats $21. the charger runs on 12 v d.c. by a wall wart iam thinking of mounting a bank of 3 chargers on a plate, on my street truck on my tailgate, so i can charge 12 bats while running 12. my idea is to see how long i could run contenous except for fuel stops.
