Sometimes I think the RC world tries to make the battery process hard on purpose. Probably just me as I'm a slow learner, and I'm old. So, currently I have a Traxxas Spartan SR Boat. I have 2 Traxxas 3s Lipo batteries with the duo charger.

I now want to trade my boat on a crawler/walk behind. I like the Redcat cars. If I want to use my Traxxas batteries and charger, what will I need to do? Traxxas uses proprietary connectors, correct?

Sorry

Yeah, you will either have to change the connector on your ESC or on the batteries.

Some good advice would be to stop while you're behind and get away from Traxxas batteries and chargers and get a Hota D6 Pro charger and some cheaper, and better batteries. Liperior or SMC makes good batteries for pennies on the dollar compared to Traxxas batteries. Then you'll be rid if proprietary batteries and chargers. It will hurt at first, but in the long run your batteries will pay for the switch, especially if you buy more RC's, including more Traxxas vehicles.

If you keep what you got, it will be easiest to change the one connector on your new vehicle's speed control to a TRX connector... or to use an adapter.
