I made an attempt at running the Oval yesterday. Went great for the first half of the race, but then I lost concentration and spent too much time playing destruction derby. At least I got the results sent to me despite VRC not recording my DNF.

I'm sick of the Oval.

I'm sick of oval too.

It wouldn't get so old if there were more than one type of oval. I feel the same way about real life oval racing. The same flat oval every week has got to get boring...

As expected, interest is dropping off this time of year.

No matter since it only takes 2 to have a competition and so far Randy is the Iron Man of VRC. As long as he runs, I will be his Huckleberry.

2 weeks and 5 tries for Week 11.

I considered running but I was all caught up with painting and stuff. I can foresee myself running more consistantly once I start racing locally. It'll be good practice.

my internets been off since saterday night so I couldnt run yesterday :(

That's why it pays to get a run in early.

One of these days waiting until Sunday will bite me in the ass when it counts. I have to break myself of doing that.

I'm guessing it's the video card, when I downloaded the free trial from VRC to make sure it would work before I tried to reinstall the program I had purchased, it said it was not compatible, don't remember the exact message. I am hoping sometime after the new year I'll be able to scrape up the funds to replace my computer, but thanks to Mike, I am at least able to be on line, and play Mafia Wars, lol. But it has sucked bad not being able to race VRC with you guys, I really miss it. :\

Yeah, I wish you would give on-road a chance though. It may not come natural to you but in all honestly.. does driving an r/c car on a dedicated circuit come naturally to anyone??? I bet if you gave some road racing video games a shot you may find a little different understanding of it all.

If I hadn't run Saturday I would have been screwed. My computer wouldn't boot yesterday at all. I finally found the problem tonight, some how the pointer in the BIOS boot sequence was changed to the slave drive. I don't know how that happens but I changed it back and I'm up and running.

Lucky you got some runs in early. Normally you wait until Sunday as well.

You'll have to run again to take it,but I'm sure you can get the oval win from me this week Rob. Short races are a killer for me since I have to pit. But I set the fast lap at a 6.548 :)

Mark now set at 34 laps with a fast lap of 6.52.
