Impromptu hydroplane races

I had different plans for the day, but when I slept past my morning alarm for my planned early bike ride I knew today was an, anything goes, kind of day.

Switched from my bike to a run meetup. Then kiddo wanted a bike ride at the river. We got our gear, loaded the bikes and off we went. Its been a pretty busy weekend here with events. At least I managed to sneak a bike ride in asa family ride.

As we were biking along the river we came up on the Regatta hydroplane event. We got lucky and they were just getting ready to start a race. I managed a few good pictures as they went by.

So today wasn't a total loss .

Definitely lucky! It redeemed my topsy turvy day for sure.
