I can't get my adapter to work, when I try to calibrate it in the game it says it is not there, but I just finished calibrating it in the control panel of windows, any help would be great, I have a Hitec Lynx 3D FM radio and RX

Open up vrc, go to options then click racing tab at the top, there you can activate your usb adapter.

In race options I have a pull down where I can choose vcr usb 1,2 and 3 adapters or the keyboard...Thats where I activated mine. Click the pic

Once the season starts I'll run the road courses, I got use to coming in last last year anyway, lol. I just like the oval much better, I only wish VRC offered a couple different ovals.

I just totally suck on road courses, hell I am even getting my butt kicked on the oval this year too :whhooo: I really need to spend some time practicing, and working on my set ups.

Another oval would be cool for sure!

I also forgot to mention that the points champion for this series will get an award tag next to their user name. It will be VRC Orange and say VRC RCNT 2010 Champion.

Ooooooh,I want that  You do notice who has the fast lap almost every race right? :D

Getting into the pits at Lux is no joke, I have to just about stop.....It might actually be faster for me to just run out of fuel.

Actually if I remember right,Lux is the one track where you can be just as good running out as trying to pit. I know there's one track where I do that and I think this is it.

No. I only notice who wins the race.:p:

Oslo has an awesome pit entry. LMAO

Just ran a Lux, its hard but pretty fun.

Well after running lux using my controller now that I got it working, not sure how, but it works, I think I will stick to just running the speedway with my keyboard, I suck at driving on road cars, it is just not my thing, they add a crawler course though and it is on, LOL!!!

I highly suggest using the "slow" sedan when you first run one of the on-road courses. It won't spin out and you can take a good portion of a track at WOT since it does not have a lot of top end. It will help you memorize the course.

Once you are comfortable, you can make changes to the motor, header and pipe to increase your speed.

When the car starts to not do what you want it to with the increase in speed, that's when you start making setup changes using the link I posted earlier in this thread.

When I first started on VRC over 2 years ago, I could not keep the car on the track and languished way back in last place in every race. It was not my first experience with on-road either. I had been racing 10th scale sedans for over a year before trying VRC and I still had problems. I think it had more to do with the 2D perspective of the track than anything though.

One of my biggest problems is I have a pretty small monitor and it is hard to see the the car when it gets far away from me, it is also hard to read the track, I can't see the banking and elevation changes in the on road tracks, I do better if i change the view so that i am behind the car and can read the track, but i will try slowing it down and see if that helps.

Do you use the zoom feature at the screen?

This was the problem I had when I first started. I could not read the track in 2D. I still can't, but I have practiced on them so much that I know what is going on with the track at any point.

Well I took your guys advice and slowed it down and was able to turn 31 laps compared to my first run of only 22 laps, Big improvement....

Tried to squeeze in a run on Speedway yesterday. In my haste I selected my Oslo Sedan setup instead of Oval Sedan.

As soon as I started out of the pit I realized my mistake. Oslo is a small tight track so my setup does not have the top end that oval needs. 10 second+ laps just wasn't going to get it done so I DNF'd. LOL

So if you DNF and it is your last run does that count as your run for that track? If I recall you guys had said that your last run is the one that counts.

Yes it will. The last run you make is what counts. If it's a DNF, it counts as last place so you would get last place points.

Note that in order for a DNF to show up, you must complete a run. This is why when you look right now at the Speedway run you don't see me listed.

So if a racer logs 3 DNF's, no run will be shown and no points will be awarded.

The points structure is going to be tight to keep it competitive.

1st: 10 points
2nd: 8 points
3rd: 7 points
4th: 6 points
5th: 5 points
6th: 4 points
7th: 3 points

Bonus for fastest lap recorded: 1 point

A DNF would equal the last place position for that particular race. So if there are only 3 racers, a DNF would be awarded 3rd.

Please feel free to offer any suggestion or comments on the points structure.

I will be creating the official 2010 season thread this weekend where all the race information will be. I will also be creating the races for the season.

Season starts on Monday morning.
