I love that SCX24 basecamp. But I think they should have used the Deadbolt wheelbase and shoved that rear axle back another 1.5mm. It isn't much, but it would look a bit better in my opinion.

Nice collection there!
I agree with the longer wb sentiment for sure. I actually bought the Basecamp with the intention of gutting it for its axles and putting them in a Meus Bronco build...but then I drove it in stock form and was so impressed, I may just do some upgrades and leave the chassis alone.

The Meus MB24 kit really likes having the Meus Isokinetic axles on it. And yes, I still need to finish Mr Crawley.

I won't buy RTR SCX24's any more. The only thing on the stock trucks I care to even use is the screws. They are actually really nice screws too. Everything else I would rather go aftermarket with.

Noted.

Mr. Crawley is the build I thought about doing before pulling the impulse trigger on the basecamp lol. Looks great dude. Can’t wait to see it done!

It got to a point where the electronics were something I wasn't sure what to get yet. So I am glad I put the build on the back burner, because after doing so, Furitek came out with their all in one Unity motor/ESC.

I've had my eyes on this guy for a little while
I figure with 3 broken 24's I probably have enough parts to build the mues lol

You missed the one MVRCA sold on here huh? He had a really hopped up MB24 he sold on here when he first joined.

I did miss that but I've had to be really selective about my rc purchases for the past few months so I've missed ALL the deals

Amazing how much heft those links add. for such a small rig it's got some weight to it. Lookin' Good. You did a nice job trimming the body. :thumbs-up:
Love my Ascent18's.
Thank you! This is my first small rig and it's been a blast so far!

Never knew what I wanted to do with this body (paint, etc.) so I just went ahead and gave it a weathering treatment.

Did you print that?

Try this with a print. Buy you a small bottle of resin, like this stuff
OSBANG UV Resin https://a.co/d/1ZpeHz0

Brush it on the surface kinda heavy. Let it settle and smooth out.

Then grab you one of these UV flashlights and light the area up for about 30 seconds.
Waklyte UV Flashlight https://a.co/d/34r2tiI

You will be AMAZED at how easy it is to smooth a print with this technique. The resin sands so much easier than PLA or PET.

Note: DO NOT get that resin on your skin. Wear nitrile gloves any time you mess with it.

All these bars were FDM printed, and getting them smooth for paint would have been a real chore.
