Starting a new SCX24 build. Have all the parts ordered, plus a donor truck I'll be temporarily robbing parts from. I will try to add web links to all the parts I am using on this build. Here's the parts so far.

Body and chassis. I opted not to paint this one myself, and just decided to grab a prepainted body.

Links and driveshafts needed for this are the ones that fit the Bronco, C10, and Jeep Liberty.

Thats a cool body. I was looking at those recently.
Gonna be killer.
I'm losing interest in my own stuff unfortunately.
Thats kinda painfull to hear, but honestly it happens right?

Because of health reasons, I can't get out as much as I would like so no reason to be excited about it anymore.
I'm going to try though.
I want you to get on that guitar, and write a song, and call it "I got the crawlin' blues."

I want you to get on that guitar, and write a song, and call it "I got the crawlin' blues."
And it has to go
"I got the crawl-oh-awl-oh-awl-oh-in blues" with a yodel 😅

I am having a really hard time deciding on wheels for this. The color scheme is throwing me off I think. Pretty sure I want black. Nothing shiny on them like stainless beadlock screws, or machined dimples. I kinda like these Boom Racing wheels...

But I also kinda like the LGRP wheels

My vote for the top lgrp. Only cause it has a raptor type vibe 😄
I kinda like those as well. They remind me of Ford's Mustang wheels. Hell, I may just grab the 1st and 2nd one from LGRP because I kinda want to get different wheels for the Deadbox too.

You know you should get them all just in case! 🤣
If I could afford to I would. This project is only coming together because getting my HVAC fixed dropped my light bill around $60 🤣

Decided on a more steelie looking wheel. I may still grab the LGRP wheels at some point. Went with a 58mm diameter tire. Hopefully they look good on this little guy. The body/chassis showed up today. Looks like really nice stuff. I'm pretty impressed.

Starting to put it together, but can only do a little at a time, so bear with me.

Unboxed everything and looked over instructions.

The body is a lot nicer than I expected. I love how it has flat and gloss black areas on it.

Comes with a few decal sheets. Really good stuff. Sadly, they are precut. I hate those!

Lots of parts bags. Tons of screws (more on that to come).

Instruction sheet is nothing more than exploded views. There are 4 different size screws total.

Started assembling the chassis. Decided to start with step 3 to make it easier to get the screws in. It is just putting the grille and bumper together. It doesn't show you at all in the instruction sheet to install the LED strip in the grille. Do it here! Otherwise you will have to disassemble the grille to get it in 🤦‍♂️

Then I moved back to step 1 to put the cage together and ran into a problem.

This piece has one leg that did not get molded, or got cut off somehow. It's about 1/4" short. It won't reach the chassis.

Sent Meus an email and they responded within an hour and they are sending me a replacement part. So their customer service is just awesome!

And they speak pretty good English to boot 😉

Well, woke up this morning to another email from Meus. I guess the pics I sent weren't clear enough for them, even though you could clearly see one leg of the part was shorter than the other 😅

Oh, I forgot to mention the screws.
This kit comes with a ton of M1.4 screws. Enough to build this kit twice, because it comes with a set of stainless, as well as a set of black oxide screws.

@Doom! sent us a second chassis (THANK YOU!), so I robbed the broken part from that kit and got the cage together along with the install of the LED strips.

Oh, and my suggestion...
Ignore the steps in the assembly drawings. Put the LED's on the grille first. Then attach that and the bumper to the front crossmember. But don't attach the top lights until the body is on. Then start at Step 1. You're welcome 😉

Wheels and tires also showed up. The wheels actually come with two different sizes of hexes. I guess the longer ones are for the TRX4M. I'll try to get them put together with the Injora tires, but I just hurt my back, so it may be a bit before I can resume progress. The DJ Crawler wheels are super nice though! And the Injora tires are nice and squishy. Super happy with these two items.
