Man, talk about a one sided conversation. Are the three of us the only racers in all 2500 members here at RCNT?????

Yes NA, you 3 guys are the only people at RCNT that race.

jeez, people, chill out. It was a joke.

Oh, I read through the rest of the thread after I posted and saw where HB had already said that. Kind of takes the sting out of my response eh? LOL.

I know it was a joke NA. Settle down.

UPDATE, I just talked to Frosty - He says that for at least our division, personal transponders will be required. No handouts.

That was unexpected for me. I got lucky too, as I just bought one about 3 months ago for my touring car. I can just use that one.

dont know if we are required to have one here or not.. but.. i would reccommend them to anyone who races.. cuz nothing worse than having to wait for a transponder..

Hey NitroAddict, Glad I found this thread, I figured there had to be someone talking about the upcoming race. Never mind on the 1/10 truck tire reccomendations, I've decided to just run the 1/8 scale......in the Pro class, somebodys got to come in last right?

So did Frosty say we had to have personals for all of the east division races or just at Boggy Creek?? Glad I have a few, that might make som people decide against it, especialy in the intermidiate classes that may not have them.

James Clegg
Wish I could be there for the Warm Up!

James - nice to see you over here from RCU. I only asked frosty about the boggy creek race, not about the others. I will try and find out. I will be at the warm up this weekend and give you a heads up as to what to expect.

No, I won't be racing at Boggy Creek. It's too close to a race I'm going to in Birmingham on Feb. 7th and I doubt finances will allow me to do it. Plus, Orlando is a 14 hour drive for me. I may try the Carolina race, about 90% sure of going to the GA race.

Well hmm, so I will see you in Hemet? Sounds like you the one that can travel across the entire country to go to a race. It's really comin across NA like you got the better than thou attitude on this one, just my perception the "j/k" or not. That is why RC Pro Series has different divisions so other people other than pros can compete and still be "in" it without being pro and having sonsors foot the bill for the travel. Anyways it's real easy to make a race in your back yard NA rather than 3,000 miles away. A lot of people race here whether it be at Boggy creek or some crap track in Venusala or some track in a place called Fortuna, CA. Good luck with your race and I sincerly wish you the best.

okay blazer, I will type with small words, so that you can understand.

1. Of the three races in the east division, only one is near me. the others are 400 and 700 miles away. I will be attending those too, as it is only a half day drive.
2. I never asked you to goto the east coast races. please read my threads rather than skimming through. i was mentioning that you said you would not be entering the series at all, even though 2 of the 3 west division races are in CA, and the other is within day drive to WA.
3. I am by no means being "condencending" to anyone here. just trying to get some more support in this series. everyone here talks about racing buggies, then when a national series comes up that anyone can join, the only others that are willing to put up or shut up are two newbies and FRB.
4. my another one bites the dust comment was directed at you in hopes of motivating your ass to join. i assume you are a very good driver as u have a top notch package as well as have alot of knowledge regarding 8th scale.

lol.. drama.. hehe.. i just race for fun.. and i like to see where i stand with others.. i dont think i would make it to Florida to race.. one reason, no sponsor.. but i sure would like to make a race like that, but.. i think the overall results would be good enough for me.. to say i placed 15th or 100th in the RC pro series, is some sorta accomplishment

and racing at events such as a pro series race is an experience in its own.. cuz there is so many racers. and alot of down time.. you can actually walk around.. and chat.. and talk to the top racers.. and get hints.. and stuff.. they let you see their cars.. and stuff like that to see what the pros use in person.. rather than in a magazine.. :)

I thought we were past this kind of stuff. Do we really need to bring it back to that? Anyways like I said I hopefully will be able to attend the race in hemet which is a 13-14 drive one way. Again good luck!

thats a pretty long drive.. i dont think i would have made that trip.. we got 2 races in Texas.. i live in central texas.. and have pretty good access to alot of the track.. but one of our races is in Oklahoma.. and i aint going to that one.. too far.. hehe

yeah too bad they didn't hold it at Delta RC like last year. That was only like 5.5-6 hours drive one way.

Boggy Creek is a nice lookin' track. I would love to get down there for a big race sometime.

NA, are you racing in the pro or novice class? I've raced alot of the guys who will be racing in the east series and a few that will be racing in the south series. All I can say is you better strap them up 'cause these guys are good.

If you want a warm-up race for the pro series come on up to Columbiana, AL for the Shelby RC Indoor Race on Feb. 6th and 7th. Cut off is 150 racers, looks like about half of those will be 1/8 scale.

Ok look at it like this, I am about 3-3.5 hrs to the Oregon border.
