RC Boat range

I was thinking of getting a boat.i got a lake two blocks from house.but that's my fear loosing it out on the water then have to get it back some how other then the kid swimming for it lol

You can also wait for a pretty windy day. But first I would try to do it on Land to see what kind of range you have. If you have a windy day then you could launch the boat with your face into the wind and if the boat dies it will eventually blow back to you
