Dad said, if I come across a good Black Friday deal on a 2wd Buggy kit, I could possibly get one, or a good deal on a used roller or almost RTR buggy. Or either a 2wd SCT or 2wd stadium kit to run on carpet. If I get a good deal on a truck, it will be a budget build using a 13.5, same if I go the 2wd buggy route but just with a 17.5. Most likely a justock 17.5 combo, amazon or savox or low end protek servo, flysky receiver, cnhl batteries which are going to be shared with my current 4wd, ect. Anyone know of any usual black friday deals when they do come around on kits? Was planning to stick with associated, but since the new B7 is the latest in the lineup, would it be on sale? Was hoping to get the previous version to save some money, but do they have any stock left of any B6.3 or .4s? Highly doubt so since 2wd Bug is so popular. When I got my B74.1 2 years ago, I got it for 300 bucks for Black Friday, as the .2 was released 2 months prior. Should I look into any other brands? @luke66 said that the PR racing is just 200 bucks and I think thats a good deal, is it a good car? (My only issue with going with PR is going to be parts support) Open to all suggestions! And as usual Ill always be searching eBay and marketplace if any good comes around ;)

Or, or, or, or, or… 🤣

wow, AMain still has stock of the B6.4, but its the same price as the B7 right now lol

@paytonimusrex weren't you looking at a 2wd? Or did you stop looking when you found the B74.2?

Hope to see you soon at first state once you get your car together lol (check my race blog thread for more ;) )

That will likely go on sale. Amain always puts Associated stuff on J.J. Give-it-away prices when Associated is ready to dump ‘em, and start drying up parts support lol..😅🤷🏻‍♂️

Well theres still plenty of parts for my B74.1 so I suspect that they'll be around for the while for the 2wd atleast? I really don't know about how associated does things yet. I'm still in the traxxas mindset from starting with them 😅 🤷‍♂️🫢

Maybe they do things differently with their 1/10 stuff or it just takes longer for the available parts to dry up after production has stopped compared to their 8th scale stuff.. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅 One can hope right? 🤔😅

yeah i’m still planning for a b7 just depends on how much it’s going for lol I want 2 buggies for carpet one of each

I already got lots of parts planned for the b7🤣

and i’ll def be coming out to first state some as well

If LC Racing made a 1/10 2wd buggy I might look at them as-well. Forgot that they make a 4wd buggy. Looks pretty nice. Xray like though. 440 for a 4wd 10th scale buggy kit with a slipper and center diff. I believe its 340 if you only choose one. Pretty good imo. I forgot what its called, the LC10 B5 thats it

looks very similar to the b74 tbh lmao not a bad deal I think my plan is for 1/10th scale buggies is to stick associated and then 1/8th scale stuff to be tekno

well that’s an order how much the total lol
Like 700 something, with the bottom 2 parts for my b74 lol.
def don’t go looking at r1 wurks like I did and have like another $300 in upgrades planned
Oof
also why buy a body? it comes with one
In case I mess up the kit one lol.

Amain is running a sort of a deal rn. Free protek 140t servo with a b7. Should be getting the carpet version for the gear diff. Don't think the dirt version with a ball diff on carpet would be good at all. At least I should be able to run a gear diff on dirt when I want to.

Didn't order anything yet. Just wanted to see the prices now and see how they compare around to Thanksgiving or Christmas

I'll do some research, if people have issues with the B7 I might find a used B6.4

I have heard good things about the b7 so far tbh, also if you wanna run dirt I had priced out the part differences of $200 between the versions lol dirt car has different shocks, no sway bars, and ball diff as major differences

the free servo is a really good deal and if it’s discounted enough I might have to snag and just hold on it for a bit

r1 wurks has some really good upgrades though, like 3 gear transmission, slipper eliminator, and a whole host of other parts you should check out lol

You should talk with @bill_delong about pr racing.
He speaks very highly of them AND he said its easy to get on a team driver program too!
I like the looks of them.
If you consider the list of "hopped up" parts that come on the race versions, they look like a screaming deal!

Have I mentioned how much I love the older Kyoshos??? 🤣🤣🤣

Or they make re-re's at 3 times the price and they just offer NO parts support for it. Associated seems full of surprises if nothing else!
