i had a different vision for what you were saying. if i drill out the top posts and put a square head on it, i still have the recess to deal with. it is recessed down from the top so the surface is uneven on the bottom.

Looking at it again, i could pull out the screws that are holding the wipers on and mount a plate across the top of them. i can lower my body mounts to level the body back out, put a plate across that as well and velcro to that....

Dude, really, I see no issue with the solution you came up with. Maybe add some D- Rings at each bolt to add to the scale look?

not a bad idea at all. I'm still not positive i am sticking with this body so i don't want to invest too much time into it.

I decided to scrap the BR-XL. It is being warrantied by john so i will be selling it as soon as it gets here. I decided to just do what i should have done in the first place.

Mamba Monster Max V3 will be in the mail tomorrow morning.

i just want the truck to be solid. I just hope the rings, pinions, and shafts last long enough for me to have a little fun.

There will definitely be a carnage thread for this truck. I am sure i could shatter the axial parts with a wot pull. I plan to adjust my throttle curve accordingly.

Video this weekend........... stay tuned. All i need is the esc....

haha, no way. I built this one for my son. He is only 7 months old right now but i am going to keep it forever. I figure its got a pretty solid start and should be cool as heck to drive. I will get the machined gears and some beefy axle shafts once i break these. By the time he can drive it (i am thinking 2 yrs) it should be just about bomb proof.

I don't think i will be selling any rigs anymore. I am gonna plan each one out before i build it. No more of that impulse nonsense.

this might be quite a bit slower than i anticipated. lol

I was thinking the 14T was around 1800 or so Kv but from reading it looks like it may be more around the 800 -1000 range.

This means my high speed in second gear is around 15mph instead of the 27-30ish i wqas going for.

lol, oh well. i guess i can always regear if needed. This thing should crawl like no other with unbelievable torque. i am betting i can just tweak my throttle trim and have it crawl mega slow.

cmon enough with words like "antipate" and "I hope" and let's get some video. We have been following this thread long enough.:)

i may be switching it up again. check the electric section. depending on the answer i get back about the 14T kv, i may be running a neu 1700/2200

bah this build is taking forever to complete!

Now i finally get in touch with the guy who i bought the MMM from. He said on sunday that he would ship monday. Well i haven't heard from him since and now today i get ahold of him and he still has the esc, i asked for a refund and he says he already spent the money.

He said he is going to ship it out today.

Man this blows. The worst part is he had a trader rating of 40 (100%)

i just want to drive the stupid truck!!

i just got a tracking number so we'll see. It should be here monday. On a good note, i got my pinion installed. I will post some pics tonight. i guess thats the least i can do. lol

Interesting. On a side note, I got a 12t pinion installed! Going to mount the rx and all telem tonight

well my esc left baton rouge at 2AM this morning so maybe it will be here today? Its only about 1 hour away but i guess there is no telling. It would be sweeet to run the truck today!!

waiting to see....

I got the batteries mounted up and the steering and shifter are dialed in. The truck is a bit of a pig at 5.2 lbs with no body or esc.
