thanks man, good to see you around. passed your work the other day when i was at sams club getting chocolate covered raisins. Where did your shoes run off to?

aww man i sold them

I'm thinking of making a rc come back

do it man, be sure to build something that can use 3S 1250mAh batteries. (So you can buy mine.)

More pictures of quality testing.

Best way to make custom driveshafts.

Raising em up right!

i need a 2s or 3s for my brushless rustler i still have sitting around

these probably aren't potent enough for that. what kinda system you running? You could parallel them if it isn't too big of a system.

well after fighting to make it work, i decided that i won't be able to run my super beefy driveshafts. The yokes are so big it really cuts down on the overall length of the shaft which reduces the length of the splines engaged. I am going to have to run old skool tmaxx slider shafts on this. The only part i am mad about is the $30 worth of shaft parts that are now useless. :(

Anyways, i will swing by the local bandit tomorrow and pick up the few parts i need to get a rolling chassis with full drivetrain. I plan to have it running by the weekend but my work schedule might not permit.

stay tuned.

Stop teasing us already, get this thing together, we all want to see a video of your rig doing 60mph down the road and then crawling over some rocks nice and slow. LOL!!!!

i sure hope it isn't that fast! i am using the smallest pinion i can find. I only want 35-40 out of it. If i need to, i will epa the top end out.

bad news. :(

I got the new max shafts all mounted up, mounted my BR-XL and spektrum rx. I put my series connector on the 3S lipo's and plugged it in. Everything came to life and i started to set my epa's. First i got my high low servo tweaked in and then moved over to my steering servo. I started to take the screw off the horn so i could align my wheels and zero it in and as i was putting it back in, i noticed the servo was turning as i tightened the screw..... what the deuce, my esc should be holding the steering position at center...... I look up and i have no lights on my esc. I unplug my battery and plug it back in, nothing. i plug in one 3S lipo, nothing, i plug in one 6 cell nimh, nothing. It just died out of nowhere. No noise, no smoke, no smell, nothing. I am sending it back on monday to HH to see what happened.

:(

I need some help. I have the body lined up just where i want it but the problem is that the front posts are too close to the recessed windshield wipers. I was just going to build a bar straight across with some styrene and put my dual lock velcro on there to hold it. As you can see there is no room to build a bar. If i move it anywhere else it the wheelbase looks weird since the wheel wells aren't aligned.

IDEAS???

You could drill out the very top hole on both posts for a 3mm to fit through, use a couple of the spare squared body posts and bolt them to the holes you just drilled then make a plate across them.

From what I see in pic 2, you can grind off the part of the body stop on the post, that the recess is interfering with.
Its not the body stop thats messing me up, its the stupid recess that won't allow a broad enough plate.

I could do that but i really didn't want to have screws showing on the hood.

I actually came up with something while i was dinking around with it. It is surprisingly strong and i will reinforce it with some styrene later on just for more strength. I would have to be pretty brutal with it to break it as it is. I noticed my bumpers on the truck lined up almost exactly with the cross members at the end of the frame rails. So i drilled some holes and put a dang screw in them. I will tidy it up and i need to put some small spacers in the front but this is the general idea. Hope you approve. :D

My way would have been all under the body, no screws though...
