All,

I was kind of forced to buy fuel with less oil in it than I'd like. I almost always run trinity MHP 20% w/12% oil (synth/castor blend). Today, I went to my LHS, which recently re-located and hasn't fully stocked up yet. All they had that was 20% (and not heli/plane fuel or traxxas fuel) was trinity platinum 20% nitro race fuel. Tower says it's 8% oil.

I have this stuff from 6 years ago when I started this hobby:

I have a relatively new OS 18TM in my revo with less than 3/4 gallon run through it. I'm mildly unsure if I should run this fuel as is, or add the byron additive just to be on the safe side. From what I can tell, 4oz of the stuff should bring it closer to 12% oil.

Keep in mind, I'm a basher only, but I don't have a lot of dough to blow on a new engine because of a stupid fuel issue (or any other issue for that matter).

I think I'm going to add the stuff, but just thought I'd see what others would do.

I don't think the amount you are talking about would cause any damage. If anything, too little oil will cause engine damage. I think the worst you could do is make it run rough with the additive.:2cents:

Ya I think you are reading to much into it, you should be fine without the additive maybe run it a tad on the rich side for peace of mind, but you should be fine either way.
