My brother in law just got a nitro helicopter. It is a Kyosho but not for sure what type, but it is nice. I was at the in laws and my father in law is in to helicopters big time, having 6 or 7, but they was out there tuning it up and getting the blades and everything set. Then both of them starting flying and I will tell you what, you have to have some talent to fly one of those things. I sat there and watched them for about an half hour and was in ahhh. I flown my father in laws simulator and all the time crash and burn. Anyway, to all that flys helicopters and planes, you guys have some skills, it aint nothing like driving a T Maxx.

Thanks. I'm a total newbie novice there. I have a micro electric. And it has scars all over it. Not to mention my couch and walls. It ain't as easy as one would think. But when you get that thing a few feet up and kinda hovering it's really cool! Just got some new parts in for mine and retimed the main motor so I'm looking forward to a lot of stick time over my Christmas vacation.

That is what my in laws said, you have to be able to hoover and get used to it before getting crazy. Hell, I dont know how my father in law does it, but he calls it 3Ding the heli. Man he can turn it up side down and get real close to the ground, make it do some crazy poop in the air to. Hope you get more stick time in and good luck learning Candyman.

Flying 3D is balls out. I used to wring the piss out of my Falcon 46, and there's nothing like havin the head redlined in a 200' hover, then all of a sudden pitching strait down, rolling it couple times and pulling out at the last second, all the while hearing the carbon biting the crap out of the air. Heli's will do some insane manouvers, and some that fixed wings can't do. But talk about getting concentration burn, very few pilots consider it a form of relaxation.

I would like to get into it but like I said before, I flew his simulator and I couldnt keep it in the air. They want me to get one and told me to start with a cheap electric one, or if I wanted I could use his simulator since he said that it would be better to learn off it instead of and electric. Anyway, I still can't wait to see the turbine he is going to purchase.
