OK so I asked this in another thread and It kinda got overlooked so I'm just making a new thread. My range on my truck seems way, way too small. Somebody told me to grab the truck and walk and see when it stops reacting. I walked easily 100 feet no problem but the second that I put it down and started and tried to drive it that far less than 25 feet it was done it wouldn't respond. But yet I just walked past that part with no problem??? The batteries are new in both the truck and the controller. I read somewhere that even if a little bit of the wire for the antenna is gone it makes a huge difference. I have the 2.4ghz radio would it hurt to solder on another 4 inches of wire on the antenna or will that just ruin it completely?

I don't think you can solder additional wire on the 2.4 systems I might be wrong though. You might just have a bad receiver. I had one do the same thing in a new mgt. replaced the receiver all was good.

I don't mean to come off as obtuse (so you can take this however you like), but would like you to help me better understand this.

Contrary to your first sentence above, I don't think your multiple posts on this subject have been "overlooked" at all. Frankly I find that offensive to the foiks who took the time to help you out.

1/2 of the threads you have started dealt with this issue.

Myself (and others) answered your question in this one. Is it that you don't believe us, or did not understand, or...?

As noted, take what I am telling you however you like. Have you employed what we took the time out to help you with in earlier threads you started? If not, may I ask why?

I am a newbie to this hobby as well--but I am typically one of the first to help people out for questions I can answer. I am quite confused at why you continue to ask the same question. I know a lot of folks who've told me they stopped taking time out of their schedule to help people out with this hobby because "they don't listen". I never understood that...but now I'm starting to see what that means. Damn, man...work with us if you want help.

Hopefully you take this for how I mean it (not trying to offend you). Simply don't understand what it is you are wanting to accomplish here. If you don't agree with the advice you have been given, let us know why. Or, another suggestion is to just try implementing what has been explained and relay the results.

I would suggest that you;
- re-bind the radio
- use some foam to isolate vibration from the receiver
- take a close look at the battery to see if you have an solder joints that have broken loose
- be sure to have a throttle return spring or rubber band on the carb so that in the event you loose control of your vehicle the carb will close to prevent it from running away.
