Converting my pro4 SCT to monster truck spec. Mostly just wheels since it's already almost the same platform as the MT10.

Electronics:
Hobby Wing max10
3660 3300kv
Powerhobby 130MG servo
ER3C-I receiver

This is an old act body I have that I can cut up for fitment but I'd rather use a MT body. Any suggestions on a good MT body that will fit?

You gotta find a Mini Cooper body for it or something!!! 😎🤣 Cool project! 😍

How do you like that servo?

Keep us posted on what you find. I need to repair mine, but it would be nice to find a replacement that’s not $50.

I've been using the powerhobby 265MG in my sc6.2 for racing and I love it. Zero complaints. I expect this cheaper version will be great for bashing. I like to try and find affordable servos so I've been using injora $25-35 servos in all my race rigs: 2x slashes setup for dirt oval, TLR 22 5.0 21.5 spec. The only one I splurged on was the protek 170SBL in my tekno and even that I got used to save $50 bucks

Summitlink body on Amazon, made for the T/E-Maxx is one cheap alternative. They offer other colors too.

Nice, thanks for the link. Is the plastic durable or is it on the thinner side? Very interested in this bug body

I'm making a mounting plate that I hope to include a waterproof housing for the receiver in a later iteration.

Those are stock wheels and tires from an Arrma Granite.

I didn't have a great relationship with the Granite, but the tires/wheels weren't to blame for that. 🤪
No he nailed it, they are the surpass hobby tires. Hoping the stand up to 2S power

I might make one more change to the design but I think this will work ok for my needs. I might dab some silicone around the edges and on the access port to seal it up. ESC is mounted with screws countersunk underneath and the whole plate attached to the two points the stock box attached to. I might move the ESC forward a mm for a little extra clearance from the motor.

Nicely done!

I just want to know how they hold up, 'cause I'm looking for low budget set to mess with.
I think I got them for $15 on Amazon. Which was worth the risk. Held up fine on 2S. Haven't tried 3S yet.

Receiver box stayed clean inside. Not much room for crud to get in. Wouldn't call it water proof but would do fine for a few puddles. Servo worked great. Held corners at full speed, no weirdness. This chassis doesn't have the most steering lock so as long as you set end points the servo should be good . I've burned out a cheap servo after I forgot to set end points a while back.

Wheels changed so my kid could get more grip in his 2x4 senton.
