Sorry, this is old news. I couldn't find a thread on it. After looking at @DavidB1126 car show post, I went in a bit of a rabbit hole which led me to Primal RC's Dodge Challenger. Modern day muscle car in smaller 1/5 scale package. Sexy as all heck...

The price tag is a deterrent to keep my wallet closed. :p
However, the Taylor engine option is awesome and a much better option at that.
The $2,300 price tag would buy me a fishing boat.

a good servo for it will buy you a good rod and reel combo 🤣

Super cool, and pricey!! If I had one, I'd want actual traction, not interested in drifting myself. My brother has an Arrma Felony 6s, cool, but same idea. It just drifts in circles and never really hooks up. Gets boring and expensive quickly burning through tires I find.

@Greywolf74 is salivating, like the dog that he is, right now!
I almost ordered one about 100 times back when they were taking pre-orders cheaper. Now that they arent on pre-order sale anymore, I probably wont buy one. Theres so many other things Id like to dump 3K+ on.

It sure is a cool car but it's way out of my price range especially considering it's technically a roller for $2,300 and it needs an ESC and Motor. I'm perfectly happy with the Arrma Felony, Infraction and Limitless class cars and it can go 100MPH with easy bolt on mods or even completely stock with good batteries and a gearing change. But i can understand who would want something like this Primal Challenger like the Raminator.

Apart from the body, I would take the Mustang over it just for the part support with the Baja platform.🤣
True, the Baja is legend. Not sure about HPI status these days, but back when the Baja definitely received alot of attention. The Primal stuff looks good, but I'd be weary about spending so much on an rc from such a small company.
Though I am "small fish $" as previously mentioned.
I've watched some of Exocaged vids on the Primal Challenger. One vid the car wouldn't track straight at all, not sure what the issue was, but for the money I'd expect it to drive better than a $200 Redcat.

I can agree with this, This Primal Challenger looks beautiful and i saw some of Exocaged's videos of it but in one of the driving videos it handled about as poor as my XO-1 did when i first got it. I hate to 💩💩 Talk this beautiful car as well as my own but for the money it costs you would expect it to handle better for what it is with that being said and like every RC car or truck you can make it better by upgrading it and improving it. But for $2,300 compared to something more practical and affordable like an Infraction or Felony especially from a small boutique company like Primal most people wouldn't be able to justify the cost compared to the Arrma's. Sorry for the unintentional ramble.

The Challenger has some cool features, like the interchangable hoods so you can make it look like whatever trim package you want but for the price they want, they should have all the matching wheels for the various trim packages as well as the various bodies so you can make it look 100% like a hellcat or a scatpack, T/A, or Shaker etc. IDK if all of the licensing of the dodge parts is why this rig is so expensive but I feel like its out of line with other 5th scale rigs. If this thing was a $1300 dollar roller then Id be much more likey to jump on it. :2cents:

If it was 1.3k I would have bought it already.:hehe:
