I got this kit and while back and have been slowly putting it together. Its gone smooth for the most part, but either I'm either a bit dense ore this manual is lacking detail! That mixed with the dark prints provides a certain level of confusion, especially when building the front and rear ends. This is my first on-road rc and I'm honestly surprised at how small it actually is. It fits inside of my Associated B74.2 footprint!

So far for electronics I have a MKS servo and a Reedy Sonic 8t motor. I have yet to decide an ESC. Most likely the Hobbywing XR10 Pro or the Cayote Crest 160 amp.

I like everything about it except the shorty battery style... don't have any, don't need any more Lipos to keep up with... it's the only reason I haven't picked up this kit.

It actually comes with 2 battery trays. You can remove the receiver box and install the optional tray for full size battery.

They have NO mentioning of that on their website, manual, or press release. All I had seen in the items needed to complete... 2 cell "shorty" pack. I could see me being swayed if I knew I could use a full size stick pack. A few weeks ago, I was actually contemplating a HPI Sport 3 because of this very reason. Now I got to go back and reevaluate my head. WTH. 🤔 :)

Just for you! I removed the stock tray and mocked up the optional tray. It comfortably fits a full size 2s hard pack. You just have to relocate the receiver, which there is room right behind the servo.

Just took of for a test run in my driveway... Wow, this will be a learning curve🤣 This thing is squirelly under power. Prolly a combo of new tires and complete lack of skills on my part. This is going to be fun.

Pro tips are more than welcome! My driveway is sealer asphalt, so I know that doesn't help with traction. At some point I'll take it to a big parking lot and try to learn how it drives without smashing the body up.

Well, I think the 8t motor might be a bit much for this rig. I'm going to try turning it down a bit. Really hard to control. I think I need to turn down the steering speed to. Definitely will be better as I learn to drive it. After 1 pack with this combo the rear tires are just about bald.

Oh I'll get there! This is my first on road, so I have a lot to figure out. Ill slow the motor down and start out there. Donuts and burnouts are fun... but I want to learn to power slide this beast without ending up in reverse🤣
