Unfortunately, i understand were all of you are coming from. I'll get advice one day, do what I'm instructed, then see another symptom. So I make a new post. Like at first I was wondering why I couldn't get my car to start. Came to the forum, I was told turn this, try that. Once I did it...my car was running. This led to a new problem. When my car was running, it was bogged down and reacted awkward. Posted in here, got advice, did what i was instructed, got better results. Once that was done, I checked my temps and they weren't up to snuff. Posted it here, got advice, did what I was instructed, now my car runs even better. YES, most of all of the advice was, to rich, to lean, blah blah....BUT!!!! I learned that when my car wouldn't start, it was because I was too rich. Then when it was acting up...I learned that it was still to rich. Then with my temps...I again learned that I was too rich. So in a matter of 3 threads, I've learned what I feel is very valuable information from both Sweetdiesel and Monkey Wrench. But what I feel you are saying, McoupeRS4Evo is that every post I have made, I have always gotten the same response. Too rich, turn this, turn that. But guess what?? I didn't know. So Monkey Wrench is correct when he says, "the answers are only as good as the sympton's explained." Most of the problem was my lack of R/C terminology. That's why I try to dig deep into these things...so that I can ask the right question instead of leading everyone on a rat race due to my lack of understanding.
I deal with people all day long and their lack of understanding when it comes to computers. Then I go into computer forums and deal with the same thing you are referring to now. People asking the same questions or close and getting the same answer. But I feel I deal with it on a much larger scale since there is more that goes into a computer than there is a car. But regardless, there is never a wrong, bad, or stupid question. And even though I have been given the same answer pretty much in all my threads, I have achieved different results everytime. And like I said earlier, if I thought that starting a thread on a new issue I'm having would cause me to still get the same answer as, "too lean, too rich", then I would have never posted. But again, I didn't know.
Monkey Wrench and Sweetdiesel, even though keep telling me the same thing, have been a HUGH help! As of right now, I have gotten my car to have more kick off the jump and is reaching it's higher speeds faster than before. Only thing now is, it seems like my top end speed isn't as great. My car is looking better though! The trail of smoke is looking better, my car is much more responsive off the line, it's just feels like it's missing it's top speed now.
Oh, and to conclude my book. No, I will not take my car to my LHS for help. I will ask questions, but not take my car there. There is no pride or a sense of self worth having someone else fix your stuff. I'm a "break apart and rebuild it" kinda person. I want to be the one to break my car and I want to be the one to fix my car. I know I know, that's an expensive habit...BUT....computers can be a very expensive habit also. But hands on is the best way to learn. Atleat for me it is.
Thanks again for all the advice guys!
