I tried paper models but it was too much work for me,

I always ran out of glue before I could get anything done

Just the number of guns he made would send me to the nuthouse.
I've got patience for that stuff but never thought about using paper.
Popsicle sticks start as paper, does that count? :D

I probably have about 200 model kits waiting to be built. 🤪 Most of my paint has gone bad. need to start stocking up again so I can build a few.

I've got 4 plastic model car kits I need to build.

That's a lot of kits!

I may have gone overboard back when I was building a lot. That's why I try to reign myself in with my rc purchases. well sort of. 🤪
Says the guy that has enough mini RC's to pull a cargo ship 😅

I should get my boy some to do over the summer. I used to build them when I was younger, grandpa would always take me to the Ben Franklin store to pick one out. Wish I woulda hung on to them.

Edit for recommendations 😂 it’s been so long, what are the brand (s) of kits I should be looking at?

The majority of them out there now is Revell, MPC, and AMT. Tamiya has some nice model kits as well.

What he said. :)

I mostly have aircraft, but also a lot of sci-fi, some armor, cars, boats. but as for car models Kev is right on the money.

That's some phenomenal work. WOW!
Yeah right? When I was playing with styrene for model railroading, a guy on a forum I was on built a gas station in Z scale, which is 1:220 scale. The gas pumps could be mistaken for real ones with the right camera shot. It had two bays with working doors, lights, sales counter, all kinds of detail. And it all fit in the palm of his hand.

I can't believe he made all the transmission gears. Stuff you won't even see. But it's so cool that he did.
I'm just shocked that he didn't make it fully functioning. Slacker! 😄
