My K1 only needs the body to be cut out and the wing attached and my K3 needs the engine, steering attached to the servo and the throttle and brakes hooked up.

I ran a tank of fuel through the sirio 27 today and I loved that thing. More so I love the break in instructions:
FOR A CORRECT SETTING OG THE SLIDING PARTS IS REQUIRED 15 MINUTES ABOUT OF RUNNING TIME, IN COURSE OF EXECUTION KEEP A LOW RPM ZONE BY AVOIDING SUDDEN ACCELERATION.
That's the entire break in instruction from the factory though I believe I will to a tad more than that while breaking in.

Here are some pics:

My K1. If you'll notice the coupler between the header and the pipe looks kinda funky as well as the length of the pipe looks really short too. It's an experiment I am trying and I am thinking it's gonna run like a raped ape at high speeds.

niiice job, must be nice to have a job to buy that kind of equiptment. what LHS did ya go to? Debbies? later

that will def run like a raped ape with the exhaust like that!!

I'll post more pics later tonight. I am working on the throttle linkages right now and my roommate is building the shocks. It'll be 99% done tonight. The only thing stopping it from running later is the radio receiver which will be here on Monday or Tuesday.

Don't you wish that your buggy can stay clean like that after a race ? Nice score on the K's

I love the instructions they gave you on breaking in the motor. Fantastic!

The one for my Storm was a bit better but I was utterly stumped on the first line of the instructions:

1. Start the engine.

Once I figured out how to start it, it was all good =)

El - PLEASE, post some side, top and front, rear pics of the K3!!! I would like some closeups as well. I want to see what the external viewable differences are, as best I can.

I thought the K3 would have had laydown steering servo. Hmmm...

Looking tits man!

C, check my gallery.

besides, all buggies look the same.

the new Lightning Pro v2 has the laydown steering servo (throttle too I think) and I don't know if I dig the linkage routing.

Just got finish building my k3. would rather it have a lay down steering servo but overall its a nice buggy. i think they should have put solid chassis braces instead on the snap on. all that is left is breaking in my rb ws7 2 engine and I'm ready to go. was told by many to get rid of alum. clutch shoes and get feroni clutch. ill try these first and check them out.

True about the braces. First thing I did was replace them with Ergle aluminum braces.

The Aluminum clutch (IMO) sucks. I ran it a couple times on the K3, then put it on my old lightning for a couple runs, then took it off. The constant ringing of the clutch bell drive me up the wall, the shoes were leavning metal on the bell, and the bell was looking more an more ragged the more I ran it.

Chris, I screwed up the friggin template for my gallery. I have about 30+ pics of the rest of the build, but trying to get the album generator to accept the tamplate file.
