The pleat is a splash guard. it also helps direct the airflow towards the head.

I pulled the silver filter off. I think there was a leak somewhere in it. But the twin filters are really for added fuel for when (God forbid) the rubber side's up. The blue filter is a stone filter and I like it, never had any problems out of it either.

Sorry, I've been working on those pages the past hour or so. I'll fix the links here since the pages are now .htm and no longer .html. the page you get is the 404 error page. I had a problem with the page templates that was generating a missing file error every time someone opened one of the slide pages.

Again, sorry about the goof. It'll be fixed in a minute.

EDIT -- Ok, the links in this thread have been fixed.
