Anybody who has experience with Konect electronics?
I have been looking at this 4274 2200kv motor with their 200A esc, is it a good system?

Basically the same thing I heard a guy say about Hobbywing years agoI just saw that today. All their stuff I've seen before were run of the mill Hobbywing rebrands. This looks like some R&D went into it, although the layout looks like xr8 pro. Why someone would go with Konect instead of HW is anyone's guess.![]()
Do you think it is worth it for a beginner in racing? Or should I go with a HW ezrun sensored system for 50€ less?Basically the same thing I heard a guy say about Hobbywing years ago
Just going off the looks - somebody is proud of that motor and ESC, because they look pretty well machined, stickers are straight, anodizing looks good, etc.
A similar Tekin motor is $165. For a Castle it's like $175. The Kobalt is around $100. You know what, I'd give it a shot.
For me it is cost a Konect system is 240€ for me and a HW is 315€I just saw that today. All their stuff I've seen before were run of the mill Hobbywing rebrands. If this is for racing, and you want to be competitive, I would maybe find out what people in your area are running. Then look up the specs for those ESC's and compare them to the Konect. @DavidB1126 is one of our regular racing enthusiasts, so maybe he might have some info on what specs are important to have. I'm not a racer, so I would just be guessing a bit. But basically, if you want to be competitive, run what the fastest guys run.For me it is cost a Konect system is 240€ for me and a HW is 315€
That wasn't a slight on Konect, I just thought that they were priced close to (or same as) HW so unless they have some custom programming or whatnot I don't see what would get racers to go with Konect over HW.Basically the same thing I heard a guy say about Hobbywing years ago

Just noticed that it is a 4274 and not a 4268 (it is for a mp9e evo), is it possible to run a 4274 in a buggy and limit power. Or is it just to big and powerfull of a motor for a buggy?Never heard of Konect. Guessing this 200a/4274 is for a 8th scale e truggy? If so, specs are fine. I believe that's what most 8th scale racers use. If for a buggy, 4268 can size would be better. @Littlemotor is our 8th scale pro. Most racers near me like to use Hobbywing XR8s, and whatever is preferred with Tekin and I believe reedy is a good brand too. If it's less expensive than the other ones, I'd say go for it. Looks pretty nice.
So a truggy motor would work in my mp9e evo? (the motor has lots of space)The Konect stuff is some of the best available in Europe, and incredibly popular. To answer your question above-yes; you can absolutely limit power, and most racers do with 1900kV buggy can motors, but what you can NOT do is make the truggy motor physically smaller.. it takes up more space than the buggy motor.
Yes, it’s 6mm longer than the buggy motor. It’ll just weigh a few grams more, and you’ll need to dial some power out of it to soften it up. The good news is, it’ll be crazy fast, and run cool as it’s not going to have to work hard at all..So a truggy motor would work in my mp9e evo? (the motor has lots of space)
Ok, will go with this combo then.Yes, it’s 6mm longer than the buggy motor. It’ll just weigh a few grams more, and you’ll need to dial some power out of it to soften it up. The good news is, it’ll be crazy fast, and run cool as it’s not going to have to work hard at all..
“8th Scale Pro”?!? You’re really reachin’ over there fella!Never heard of Konect. Guessing this 200a/4274 is for a 8th scale e truggy? If so, specs are fine.
