What should be my first? I saw that Kyosho kit for touring car, but i am much more attracted to rally cars. Seems like there is not a lot of built it yourself options...
A Tekno. You can probably convert their SCT to a rally car fairly easily.

I have a Tekno SCT410.3 but I don't know if I want to convert it to nitro. I still have fun with that at my local indoor clay track.

I love the looks of the HPI WR8, but I don't want RTR.

Buy the body and make it fit. It would help if the wheelbase of the body and chassis match.

I can't say much for new Kyosho, I don't own any yet. 🤣
I want to check out a couple kits tho!
What are your plans for this car?
I want an introduction to the world of nitro, so I would build it stock and tinker with it to learn how to tune the motor. I'll probably do some parking lot driving with it. Figured I will start with a cheaper kit to see if it sparks a fire in my brain before moving on to something crazy.

Kyosho does make pretty good stuff. it's parts support where they fall short. seems to be an order it and wait thing with them. and they're good with nitro's. and for that price, id give it a shot.

I'm flashing back to the PureTen GP car they had in the late 90's/early 2000's. people slept on it (we all had RS4 fever), the couple people i talked to that actually had one loved it.

I have a Peugot 405 (rally version of the GP10)
Its a totally different chassis than this one but a good one still! 😎

If i were going electric... I would build the Team Associated 1/10 hoonicorn kit. I have had my on that for an on-road car. If they offered it in nitro I would buy it right now. I do worry about parts availability with the Kyosho.
