Will these do?
@ninnon is 100% correct. There is a break in process that MUST be done in order for your motor to run well and provide a good, long service! There are threads about the break in process in this forum... READ THEM, KNOW THEM, FOLLOW THEM!!! Lol, sounded like a clip from Fast Times At Ridgemont High!!!
Yes and no not a fan of the rims but thanks i know i didnt specify on my style but those tires look good i should get those tires thanks for looking-I'm quite picky on rims too

I understand. Everyone has their needs... That's what makes rc fun! Well, that and then blowing the tires off the car in big smoking chunks!!!

Wow! That sleeve looked ugly! I don't imagine the inside looked better! Glad to see it back together (sort of). PLEASE don't forget to do a solid break in period before you go for the high rpms. We are ALL tempted, but gotta go thru the process to get the reliability! Can't wait to see it running! Good luck!

Once you've replaced worn parts, give it a good clean too.
I used a tooth brush in some areas wd40d some stuff and i cleaned my carb with Carb cleaner, any tips on breaking it in it has a new piston sleeve and piston

I believe it mentions the heat method here: https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/threads/nitro-rc-beginners-guide.68224/

I would follow that procedure that @ninnon. Linked. Its worth reading thru that who thread so you don't miss anything. Glad you're getting your rig all revived! You won't be let down by Associated products, old or new imo.

Agreed! I am happy you took the time to gain some knowledge. Now as things happen, parts do wear and break etc... You already know quite a bit about your rig! Makes it WAY easier to diagnose down the line. Killer job!

Thanks guys i have the original instruction manual and blueprint thing.I did break some cup thing and ordered a new one also my pull start spring exploded lastnight pain in the butt to put backtogether.I odered a throttle return spring.I put my traxxas blue tuned pipe.It took a min to get the car started though i controlled the throttle with my hand.i discovered alot of stripped screws my bearings where fine.putting the 2 speed together was intresting but i learned alot I'm not finished yet though...

Just a heads up. Pipes are tuned to work with certain motors (designed for them) and at certain rpm ranges as well. Some on the low side (torque) and others for high rpms. Def experiment with them but keep in mind that your tune will be different when you change them. Also, be sure to check your temps and the overall performance. I agree... The blue pipe looks great with the kit. Just be sure Its performing as well! :thumbs-up:

Thnx James!

A nitro street car can ecceed 40 + mph with out upgrades ,depending where you run it ,can be intimidating especially in
tight areas.
Never under estimate the power of a small engine of the 12 size ,some of the racers today still use a high performance 12 engine
for street car racing because it gives the right amount of power.
Anything more than a size 15 is over kill in a track that has twisted turns.

40 to 50 mph gets down the road pretty quick before you have to turn it around to come back to you in street running!...:p
