the 1:1 has plastic arms!?They did that so it matches the arms on the real deal
I might consider it if they bring out a 1/10 or 1/8. I kind of like the way it looks. I would hope they come out with a clear body and I would paint it to match a shark face. Teeth on the side sorta thing. Like the old military planes.I would pass on this just due to it's size, well and the fact that I find it hideous.![]()
well it is a funco sooo...the 1:1 has plastic arms!?![]()
These hideous things have actual 1:1?!!!!They did that so it matches the arms on the real deal
.....painted to replicate polished aluminum!the 1:1 has plastic arms!?![]()
If you've ever thought, "man, I'd really like to see a boat on wheels ripping a wheelie across sand" they have options for you! These hideous things have actual 1:1?!!!!![]()
No, that thought has never crossed my mindIf you've ever thought, "man, I'd really like to see a boat on wheels ripping a wheelie across sand" they have options for you!

See! A car that looks like a frog is ok. A car that looks like a boat:
Chromed out plastic is actually one of the weakest types of plastic if the chrome is in the mixture, and not just paint. Look at how many crawlers use black or grey mirrors. The chrome mirrors on AEs MT12 are quite brittle.Oh. Wow.

So Traxxas' "toughest material" is chromed out plastic. Got it.
Perhaps they mean it looks "tough" because it definitely does!
nailed it.Chromed out plastic is actually one of the weakest types of plastic if the chrome is in the mixture, and not just paint. Look at how many crawlers use black or grey mirrors. The chrome mirrors on AEs MT12 are quite brittle.
As for the price, once you toss in Traxxas batteries and a charger you're at 1:1 money, parts for the 1:1 are probably cheaper too:

Considering you’re essentially getting a 1/5, it’s really not priced too crazy. Closest thing it’s got for competition is an HPI Baja 5b and by the time you build it and spec out electronics, you’re looking at around the same price… if not more.Sounds cool, but that Traxxas pricing will be out of my range
Sure do!These hideous things have actual 1:1?!!!!![]()
Given how expensive Traxxas batteries/chargers are, and the fact that this $1300 RC car uses TQI radio gear from 2010, I think I'd rather buy the HPI and spec my own electronics.Considering you’re essentially getting a 1/5, it’s really not priced too crazy. The Traxxas is a licensed Funco Motorsports model. It's modeled after the GTU which runs around $300k.Sure do!These things can be upwards of 200k dollars hairs. But they look sick ripping around Glamis. I’m pretty sure this is where Traxxas pulled the inspiration from, not converted VW bug sand rails.
You can use any batteries you want, you don’t have to buy Traxxas batteries and a RTR radio is junk, regardless of brand. The TQI at least offers some extra adjustments, albeit locked behind an annoying menu system or an expensive Bluetooth module, that this likely comes with that module anyways.Given how expensive Traxxas batteries/chargers are, and the fact that this $1300 RC car uses TQI radio gear from 2010, I think I'd rather buy the HPI and spec my own electronics.
