New Servos

I would probably go for a pair of traxxas 2075, , waterproof and for a buggy or small truck they should have plenty of torque to turn the wheels infact I run either a 2075 or 2070 for all my rigs, there cheap too which makes a no brainer for me plus not really a fan of hitec servos poped a few before switching to savox and havent looked back

Haha should read before I post I meant I use the trx servos for throttle duties

The only thing I don't care for is that the traxxas servos are all plastic geared with a plastic output shaft. Would be nice to get some metal gears in there so they last a while longer.

Just an update.......Savox now makes waterproof servos, website says "in stock soon"

Sweet!!!!!!!! And that one is a perfect replacement for the hitec 985's I've bought. A little slower, a bit stronger though and $15 cheaper.

Thanks for posting that. I'll definitely pick one up when any of my servos die.

someone posted about the waterproof savox servos a week or ago
i must admit i'm a bit naughty when i clean up my rigs,degreaser and a hose then blast off with the compressor and i havent had an issue with savox not being waterproof

I run SAVOX Servo's in my T-MAXX & although SAVOX Servo's do not get along with water very well... I think SAVOX Servos are awesome next to HI TECH Servos.. I have also been using TRAXXAS #2075 digital Servos & have been having decent result's with them as well..

Well, guess I'm buying one sooner than I had thought. My traxxas 2075 went belly up on me today in my buggy. Luckily, I was at idle when it decided to stop working. The servo hasn't sounded right since I bought it. Had a nasty dry bearing sound from the motor.

From what I read, the savox is futaba splined, so should drop right in.

Although, since the savox is 200oz @6v, I may swap it with the hitec waterproof one I have on the buggy for steering and move the steering to t/b. Depends on how lazy I feel when the servo shows up.

I like the traxxas 2075. Waterproof, so-so specs, (125 oz-in) and 0.17 seconds/ 60 degrees. The only downfall is that they do not have metal gears. That being said, for a servo that averages $40.00 or less, how can you go wrong?
