I love the looks of this buggy. Only problem I see is, its no where to be found in the Kansas City area and none of the hobby shops i talked with are planning on carrying this buggy. so how do I get one from you?

PartyN1,

We don't sell directly to consumers, mostly to keep hobby shops happy so that we don't compete with them. However, there is an alternative. You've got mail.

Well i seen one of these in person at my LHS today, and have to say looks very nice built, i dont know how well that motor is. A quick look it does look like a mbx5, makes ya do double take...

Hello everybody ! My first time on this website and I'm really enjoying all the information in regards to the swift and support from LHS and consumers. The swift is definately a major contender in the 1/8th market. The swift has been out for 3.5 weeks and so far, we've had the car raced in afew areas already. It TQ'ed and won at various tracks in northern calif and in the southern parts of the states. As for parts support, we have EVERY part available. If your LHS doesn't have the parts, have them order them from power racing products. And once we receive the order, it goes out the SAME day. We support LHS and consumers cause you guys are the one's that make this hobby enjoyable. Thx guys and happy holidays.

the new swift

just got a swift 2 weeks ago and had to wait until my new Noverossi P5 T .21 arrived with a JP outlaw muffler and pipe. I am now in the process of breaking-in the engine. I run it in a new indoor off-road track to break it in running slow. As of the moment, all i can say is that the screws must be tightened cause they easily loossen up or fall off. The RTR was not assembled using thread locks on critical areas like the hex locks in the CVJ pins. The pins on the front wheel and rear wheel fell off as I was breaking it in. I will be putting thread locks on this points and run the car in a few days. I will post some pics of the this new buggy.:wedgie:

this is where thread locks should be applied so the CVJ pin will not fall out.

Before I ran my Swift, I used Red loc-tite on all the CVJ set screws, including the main shafts that run down the middle of the car. I also bought some blue loc-tite and did some of the screws that were metal to metal contact. I raced the car and nothing came loose. This is something I would highly recommend for any RTR car available.

asar: I just got the same motor for my car. Let me know how it workd out. I'll be putting in my P5 motor in today -xmas- .

asar,
Where did you get that pipe and how much did it set you back? What pipe would you compare it to?

Swift pipe

Got the engine and pipe set from HK US$310 for the set. It's an outlaw pipe JPL Turbo. They said it's made in taiwan.

The pipe holder though won't fit, so I have to find a thinner gauge stainless wire to replace the one that comes with the kit.

swift buggy

Hi guys!! just found this forum,,,
hi wagnerov!! Turbo Johnny here..

I just bought a Swift buggy 2-days ago and would like to know what setups are working for you guys..
I"m racing saturday with it and would like some info if possible..

I put 80w in the shocks for starters feels pretty good
front shocks on second hole from bottom outside to raise the front ride just a tad
took the major toe out on the front out,,does it work better like that?
-1 degree rear camber
0 degree front camber

what about diff setup I was thinking 1-7-3 for starters
you guys using sway bars on the front?

..can't get to the track till saturday for testing and racing
is at 5pm
so just trying to get a jump on things, thanks for ALL you guys help RACE ON!!

Re: swift buggy

Turbo Johny, I think the stock shock oil is about 50 to 60. I have not replaced mine. Let me know if 80 wt is just about ok, sine the piston holes of the swift shocks are bigger than normal, as per others in the thread.

For the set-up, I use a similar set-up from my on road car
front : camber -1; toe out 1
rear: camber -3; toe in 2 to 3

Stock Diff oil are good, so I did not bother changing it anymore.

There are no sway bars in front in the kit. Let me know if there are sway bars for another 1/8 buggy that would fit the swift.

Good luck!!!

Is there any place online to buy parts for the car? I just got one today and the rear part of the main shaft fell out while I was putting around breaking the engine in.

hi .. I pulled all the side drive cv"s and loctited the set screws.. I don"t know but it seemed the factory loctited only one set screw of each cv
i was excited to break it in so went out today to do it
stock motor has nice power band!!
lost a pin outa the center rear cv on the second tank..woops!
so i pulled them also and loctited those.
a must do for this buggy!
also lock all other screw you can..this is a must with any buggy you want to stay together.
parts??
the hobbystore I work at has alot of the swift parts,,
Power Racing Products maker of the swift ... a very good company ,wonderful people to work with over the phone too!!
I really like my buggy!!
the brakes are awesome! i believe they will not fade like my mugen did under certian conditions.

anyone know who makes the motor for them?
also MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
RACE ON!!

Hi Johnny,

The motor is made by a company in Taiwan called SH. They are the OEM's for Megatech, Dynamite, XTM, GS, and a few others. Future versions of the engine in the Swift should have a "Power Racing" logo on them instead of SH, to help alleviate confusion.

Sorry about the setscrews, everyone in China (well, at our factory at least) has heard our wrath over the phone these past few weeks!

Happy holidays, everyone! Have fun!
