My Swift need what seems like an awful lot of throttle to get going from a stop and has trouble driving around in grass. Does this sound like some kind of clutch adjustment I might need to make? Sorry for the newb question. I'm just getting back into RC from my Traxxass Nitro Hawk days.

Spidey, you might have lost a cbj pin.. check if all four tires are spinning. This happened to me on my first run because the holding srews did not have lock tite on them and got loose (front drive one), so check all 6.

Another report out of Delta R/C in Antioch, Ca. where the swift took first in the A main in 1/8th scale expert buggy. And, the car was completely stock except the motor

Yeah, one of the CVJ pins on the rear was missing. I'll get one tomorrow and see how it goes from there. I have another question now. How well should the brakes work on these buggies? Should they be able to lock up when the brakes are fully applied?

Can anyone (especially those who have won races) pls post supension set-up; camber; toe (front and rear) shock oil wt; position of shocks (front and rear). thanks

wagnerov, it's not only the set screws in the CVJ pin that has problems. THe pin in the Chrome CVJ bone itself just fell off and disappeared when i ran it in a race track. That pin in the bone is supposed to be machine tight. (3mm X 14.5mm)

Hi Johnny,

The motor is made by a company in Taiwan called SH. They are the OEM's for Megatech, Dynamite, XTM, GS, and a few others. Future versions of the engine in the Swift should have a "Power Racing" logo on them instead of SH, to help alleviate confusion.

Sorry about the setscrews, everyone in China (well, at our factory at least) has heard our wrath over the phone these past few weeks!

Happy holidays, everyone! Have fun!

you could put some heat shrink tubing oover them to help hold them in...

Yes, the brakes can lock up specially on a buggy like the Swift that has 4 discs. But keep in mind that if you lock them up all the time the pads will wear quicker. Adjust them to your driving style and preference.

What I did to my CVJ's on all four sides ( each wheel ) is that I removed one of the set-screws and loc-tited the set-screw. I've been running the car on some BMX jumps (x-game size jumps and a bunch of doubles) near my home and so far, I haven't lost a CVJ pin yet.

I believe that asar meant that the other end of the cva not the set screw side, but the dogbone side is were the pin slide out.
Mine are holding fine.
I really like the way the swift handles!!
alot better steering than the mugen i raced last year, its not as skatey,it is stuck to the ground better like the k-2.
The swift has a few bugs like all new kits that come out, but thats why we are here to let the company know what fixes are needed AND to tell them the good stuff too!
My stock pullstart motor makes good low and hi end
and I will leave that in to race till i have to pull it I am very happy with it!! RACE ON!!!

When will the U.S. get the A.R.R.?

..Could anyone tell me if they've seen the ARR version of this car yet? I have a MARS-R radio I want to use instead of the RTR JR radio. I saw that the company Schumacher in the UK is selling the cars in both the RTR and ARR versions.

Thanks for any info.

...I also seen on the shum. site that a almost ready to run version is gonna be availble ..that means a buggy with no radio or motor I would think... a pro version probaly..sounds good to me!!
might be a few months before thats available since the rtr version just came out.

ARR

The ARR is about US$100 less than the RTR. You don't get the Airtronics M3 radio, receiver, servos, engine, muffler and tuned pipes. That's a lot of goodies for 100 bucks that you can use a spares just in case you decide to upgrade on the fly.

I got mine ARR and put in a new Novarossi P5 T engine and tuned pipe set. I also put Sanwa hi-torque ERG servos for steering. Futaba 3PDF radio. A humpback 5-cell 1200 mah receiver battery is a MUST UPGRADE, so you can get 6 V for the power hungry hi-torque servos.

Asar: How is that P5 motor doing? I also have one that I haven't broken in yet. Let me know how it goes. Thx.
